We recently connected with Antonette Parker and have shared our conversation below.
Antonette, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
When I was a teenager, my older sister had a bestfriend. His mom would come over all the time or we would go to her house. And when she would ask my sister where I was she would always say where is Beauty. And that was the name she gave me. She passed a couple of years ago, and when I started my business I just knew I had to have the word beauty in it.
Antonette, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Antonette Parker and I am the owner of Beautys Desire Boutique. I started my business in 2020 and it has been blossoming ever since, I specialize in women’s clothing especially plus size. I also provide items for self defense as far as tasers and self defense keychains. I went in to having a boutique because I am a plus sized woman and it’s so hard to shop for something to wear and the only solution that they are giving is losing weight. But people such as myself may have certain things going on with their body that causes them to gain weight. And that’s what makes me different from everyone else I didn’t do this just to say I did it, I did this because I’m not only helping me I’m helping so many other people around the world. I have shipped to Memphis,Tennessee, Atlanta,Georgia a month other places. And honestly it’s a great feeling seeing people happy and beautiful.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
One main thing I would say helped is my great customer service. People don’t want to shop with you if you are rude and nasty. With small business you get most of your customers through word of mouth and of course they are automatically going to say hey this person was great communication wise and so on.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy that has grew my clientele is posting or broadcasting. Even if you don’t get any comments or reactions soneone is always watching.
