Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Anthony Wright. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alright, Anthony thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

It was in 2007 when I started writing first book and stage play script that I knew it was time to start sharing my visions with the world.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My pathway into the industry started in the mid 2000’s just a few years removed from graduating high school performing in theater stage productions from Missouri to Colorado. Actually, I never thought I would be in this field of work. If you were to tell me I would be a filmmaker around the time of 2005 or before… the young me would have gave you a weird stare and followed by a confused laughter because that just isn’t my style. I remember seeing all the theater kids in high school and how happy and chipper they would be jumping and dancing around in the hallways and I’m like, this is so corny. I could never.. Well. God certainly changed those thoughts because a few years later, I certainly did! I casted in a local faith based stage play in 2006 and absolutely enjoyed the experience.. and from that point forward.. The switch was on. I wasn’t going anywhere else. I feel like that experience unlocked a whole universe of creative potential.. and here we are now. I started a business titled, From Beyond Pictures & Novels. A Faith Based and Inspirational filming platform.

I’ve written and published a book, two stage plays and four feature films. Those films I have also produced, directed and even acted in some. The most recent film I completed is called, “Counteract” Which is an independent thriller feature set to stream worldwide later on 2024. Another title previously released was a faith based action film called, “Promise Chronicles – Manifestation.

In the entertainment arts industry.. an industry that I laughed at once before has become a wonderful and challenging journey for me in so many ways, constantly stretching me and forcing me right out of my happy little bubble to face the tough realities that our world continues present us. I’ve met and worked with some amazing people whom I feel like I should have known sooner in life.

I feel like even though we’re four films into this.. there’s so much more to be discovered and discussed. So I’m not entirely satisfied until that mission is complete.. but I am grateful for recent acknowledgements such as a winner of the Kansas City Gospel Awards.

What sets us apart.. I am not afraid to go into those uncharted dark areas of the world and shed a light on topics and situations that some will not talk about. You will continue to see that reflection in our films.

This all sounds like a great success story but none of it came easy. That’s entirely different story in its own. Which all I could say is, You many see the doors are open, for some. But never for you. When they shut the door on you, climb through the window.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

It will always be the satisfaction of creative expression. And allowing others to enter that space.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

The universe knows no bounds. And in this universe are regions of dark corners and uncharted territory that we must come to understand, and even help if that need calls for it. I want to help those in darkness. Those stranded and alone without a voice. To shed a light on their story.
