Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Anthony Tucker Jr.. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Anthony, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today The first dollar you earn in a new endeavor is always special. We’d love to hear about how you got your first client that wasn’t a friend or family.
About 2 years ago I got friend requested by a music artist that goes by the name Tashá (Ra’Desha Stoudmire) from Orrville, Ohio. We shared a few messages and I listened to her music and that’s when I decided that I wanted to work with her if she let me. Unfortunately at that time she wasn’t able to pay what I was looking for but I wasn’t worried about the money. We struck a deal and I made my way down to shoot our first video together to her song “Grinder”. After that video we clicked and have been working together for the last two years. I vlog while she’s recording in the studio, to her performances, and events that her team G.N.S. Entertainment puts on. With the help of her I have been able to gain more music artist such as LowkeyT, Rolling Sloan, Soba Cree and many others.
Anthony, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I have been into videography/photography for well over 10 years. Things haven’t been as busy as I had hoped when I first started but I am very thankful for he clients I do have. I make sure that I put my all into every project that I work on from music videos to weddings. I always make sure what I’m creating is something that my clients will be happy with for years to come. I’m most proud of the way that I’m always focused on my projects and making sure I hit my deadlines.
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
I wouldn’t’ say there’s any resources I wish I knew earlier but I would say I wish I would have paid more attention to the resources around me. This being YouTube tutorials on cameras, different editing effects, or just overall shooting better videos/photos.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
The most effective way for me to gain clients has been working with Ra’Desha Stoudmire and her G.N.S. ENT. team where they host showcase events for local artist. At these events I get to meet with artist and network with them. Along with that, the support of the my clients, family, and friends has also helped me gain more clients.
