We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Anthony Trujillo a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Anthony , appreciate you joining us today. Do you wish you had started sooner?
My career didn’t start until vendetta in 2022 an album appearance released on February 04, 2022 with DiVine Infinite called Caliber. My cousin Armenio Trujillo, he helped me jump start my career in music with production of an EP. YiN and YANG on September 22, 2022. 4 songs He released Through his Record Label Unity Infinite, via United Masters. This led to a shoutout Colorado article and feature appearance on my cousins music from albums such as Artist Collective October 7, 2022. If I was to go back in time I wouldn’t. I am to utilize the knowledge in time to apply myself now because There isn’t any time like now to start due to the resources I now have, and this don’t even include the support team that lets me thrive and become the person I am with moral and values. Before this music became apart of my life and became a lifestyle I was lifting 250 pounds of glass every 15 minutes for my 9-5, and then went through a period where I was laid off. Let’s just say my cousin introduced me to a new style of music a new age, a new wave. This new generation of artist inspired me to recalibrate the industry and do my part by staying original, classy, a true faithful man. I wouldn’t change not a thing about my experience because we live in an age of need of reconcile and not of violence. Lyrics have there repercussions and I want to set the standard for the youth and the troubled and misunderstood.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I tend to draw inspiration where there is problems and issues to be spoken of. There is a misconception on my name Angel Of Light and I will explain this in a song, I just want the readers to know it takes a level of discipline and dedication to overcome boundaries that lay ahead. It’s not easy getting in the studio and portraying my vision and providing a verse, practicing my craft I must sit back and rehearse daily. In order to seek my full potential I must be included in every opportunity and take it with a grain of salt and understand the experience is helping me evolve and to be set apart from the crowd because now I have set to a standard of critique and artistry that I am determined to use rap music as it is a lifestyle and Unity infinite is a service brand. it’s awesome to be apart of something positive that’s growing everyday. I’m most proud of my new content that will be shown publicly in the near future, and I can’t wait to show what will come in collaboration with my cousin soon.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My goal is to be an official established artist on the billboard and be known one day in the industry. Be faithful and be true.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I have been put down all through out my life I can withstand and remain positive because positivity goes along way in a world of negative and very bitter folks who want to see you fail. From family members and friends i continue to evolve on my journey with support and I use all the opinions as fuel in my arsenal to keep me motivated when the odds are stacked against me.
