Hi Anthony, thanks for joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

It’s a profoundly meaningful mission to me, as I reflect on how having access to such a mission during my childhood could have significantly enhanced my personal success. The presence of strong role models equipped with essential skills for working with underserved youth would have been transformative. This kind of understanding is particularly impactful for children navigating challenges within the education system.

By offering children a comprehensive educational approach that addresses their needs, we can foster the development of crucial behavioral and social skills. My journey has been marked by a tendency to defy conventional wisdom, yet my experience in the navy marked a turning point. It was there that I truly embraced the wisdom of others, guided by exceptional mentors who played a pivotal role in my subsequent accomplishments.

The power of positivity cannot be underestimated. Positive thoughts serve as a foundation for a cascade of optimistic outcomes. My aim is to create environments where children are enveloped in positivity, providing them with the encouragement and momentum necessary to ignite their growth and enable them to flourish.

I am the founder of Positive Pro, a platform that acts as a bridge between students and teachers. Oftentimes, teachers have specific educational goals in mind, but occasionally, behavioral challenges can hinder progress. This is precisely where Positive Pro steps in, offering the necessary mentorship to the child while allowing the teacher to focus on classroom instruction seamlessly.

Our primary focus is to establish an environment that facilitates positive communication between teachers and students. What truly distinguishes Positive Pro is our personalized approach that caters to the unique needs of each child. We firmly believe in avoiding a one-size-fits-all mentality; instead, our program is meticulously tailored to meet the distinct requirements of every individual student.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

The pivotal turning point for our business strategy was transitioning from individualized home visits to organizing larger camps and group activities funded by the community. This shift proved to be highly effective. Many of the young participants we engage with come from families with limited financial resources. By actively raising funds and reducing costs for these community youths, the positive feedback and experiences began to spread through word of mouth.

This positive momentum facilitated a partnership with a school in Tucson. This collaboration granted us the opportunity to host a summer school program that welcomed an impressive turnout of nearly 300 children. This highlights the utmost importance of community support in our endeavor to secure funds, enabling us to offer cost-effective or even free programs to the children within our locality. Few endeavors have demonstrated greater resilience than launching a business amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. I initiated my journey by conducting home visits, a vital step given that children were grappling with a lack of in-person interactions due to virtual learning. Equally significant was the support extended to parents who found themselves navigating unfamiliar territory, having previously relied on in-person education for their children. This period demanded additional assistance and guidance.

Dressed in protective gear, our team was able to provide invaluable aid to numerous students and families, bridging the gap left by the sudden shift to virtual learning and offering much-needed support during these challenging times.
