We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Anthony Mosley a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Anthony, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
Most of my skills are god given talents. Most cases I don’t have to try I just rely on my personality. With being a Dj its takes practice getting your timing right, learning different techniques, as well as learning about all the different equipment you’ll need. Comedy and acting comes natural to me but it’s always helpful to take classes and get stage time so you can add extra tricks to your bag. With djing knowledge of different music is essential. If you wants to stand out you need to know music from all eras and genres. Having a mentor or even just being better at networking would have been beneficial to me as far as speeding up the process. Then again maybe everything happens when it supposed to. I think I am my biggest obstacle I have a tendency to procrastination also a lack of resources can be a hinderance. Sometimes you don’t know what you don’t know.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am Anthony Mosley the entertainment expert. That’s Dj, emcee, host, mascot, comedian, and actor. I do all things entertainment. The why I got into these industries was I born with talents and one day decided to use them. I started writing songs and doing plays when I was in elementary school and just kept evolving. When i started djing I bought my equipment practiced until I got it then started sending emails and dms till I got a few clients. Comedy was just a let’s try it and see what happens thing. I’ve always been funny so comedy was just turning my funny into and act. I looked on social media for open mics and I just did it. I provided Dj & emcee services. I bring the music and the vibes to whatever even the client needs. I am uniquely me and my vibes are unmatched.
I give my clients the best experience possible. Arriving on time and always being professional.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My goal is to use my gifts to spread joy and happiness. I would love to be able Dj and a festival and and Caribbean carnival.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
In general just creating things makes me feel good. If I’m not writing a song or joke I’m making a mix or I’m shooting a skit. Being creative is just something I have to do.
