We recently connected with Anthony (Maxx) Anderson and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Anthony (Maxx), thanks for joining us today. How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
Growing up music was apart of my life. From having a father that was a DJ, and then went to work in television to taking band as an easy elective in high school music always had a part in my life.
Now art….. Well that’s been recently. Early in school a teacher ridiculed me for my lack of artistic ability to draw and I never tried again.
As an adult multiple people attempted to draw me into music and it was until I was 33 that I decided to embrace music.
Starting with learning the craft of DJing led me to where I’ve now started writing lyrics, have started a merch line, as well as a podcast where I do Tarot and Oracle Readings.
I can’t say I would change any aspect of my learning process because all the lessons have led me to where I am today.
The most essential skill is creativity, and faith in yourself.
The biggest obstacles come from bad decisions I made in the past, not having a job for a few years was also definitely a huge road lock
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
For me, I just felt the call of the DJ culture and feel in love. I consider the music to be the ministry.
Music is the way I channel the experiences in life and deal with the emotional energy.
Besides music I also am the creator of my own merch line (WubWear Merch), and offer a Tarot reading podcast (Multidimensional Memo Radio)
As the slogan of my podcast states bringing the frequency of freedom and the sound of self empowerment.
What sets me apart, well you’ll have to look me up and find that answer for yourself. Just look for a green alien named Yakashka and you’ll find me.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
My answer for this is simple. Timebending and Weaving.
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
More than I could list. My reading preferences are very broad. From books like the ,art of war and the 48 laws of power, to various religions texts, to theoretical sciences and everywhere in between.
