We were lucky to catch up with Anthony Lee recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Anthony thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with talking about how you serve the underserved, because in our view this is one of the most important things the small business community does for society – by serving those who the giant corporations ignore, small business helps create a more inclusive and just world for all of us.

We sell Real Estate however the black and brown community are the smallest group of homeowners. Our goal is to inform our community of what it takes to be a homeowner but also make the process easier so that they can bridge the homeownership gap.

Anthony , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I was fired from my first real job from college. From being fired it motivated me not to depend on anyone else for income. I struggled for sometime trying to pass my real estate exam in which I failed 9 times. However once passing the test I have sold thousands of home and have been able to open up my own real estate company as well purchase my first small apartment complex.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

Showing up everyday and being consistent. Thanks to the internet you can really be anybody or do anything as well as become side tracked due to all of the opportunities or illusions on the internet. For me I have become comfortable with who I am and who my audience is and that has allowed me to understand I may not be for everybody but for the people I do connect with we will make a impact that will help them and their family. This allows me to always have referrals coming in and being able to connect with new people.
