We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Anthony Green II . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Anthony below.
Anthony , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Are you happier as a business owner? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job?
Yes, I am very happy as a business owner, I fell in love with the journeyThe last time I thought about having a real job was probably top of the year. I was on the road came back home to Houston to find out my car had flooded. It was just up for sale so I took the insurance off and all that had to sell it for the low as junk. Houston a huge city so you def need some wheels to make it work. On top of that I had just took a couple close family losses so I had some choices to make. Started looking into a couple jobs had a few interviews got the gig but I already knew that wasn’t for me so I respectfully declined.
I then proceeded to return home for funeral services and had a heart to heart with my grandmother. She told me, “ You put a lot of work into this over the years and it a be a shame to let it go boo.” I looked at her and said, “Say no more grandma” and gave her a hug. I then proceeded to link up with a couple of pieces I think are essential to the puzzle and now it’s locked all progression no regression continuing to bet on myself. Once you realize what you can actually do with your time and find the right pieces to it hit different than you possibly overexerting yourself for a minimal steady income.
Anthony , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am Sunny Green Aka The Dealer I am the owner of WAGE Apparel. We make all kinds of streetwear products, womenswear, and accessories including: sweatsuits, hats, tees, jackets, dresses, athleisure wear etc. All of our products are cut and sew using good quality fabrics. Now quick backstory, I’ve always wanted to make clothes since I was a kid. I used to sit at the table and make mock ups of sweatsuits inspired by Baltimore brands; Samos & Mosions they used to go crazy back in the day. Had a hiccup in that as my creativity nor style wasn’t as extensive as it is now so guess everything happens for a reason.
We pride ourself most in our customer service and being for the people as we try to provide an experience with each drop pairing good visuals using some things that our followers may be able to relate to and creating a story behind it. Most of our customer purchases get shipped or hand delivered same day as well when possible. You even might catch a couple sales from time to time.
Been doing this for sometime now about 10 years but I really only count these last 3 of me doing it full time.
Couple notable accomplishments Lil Baby rocked our rose pink sweatsuit on his documentary so we forever stamped, Jess Hilarious locked in with us and we got Desi Banks a couple pieces along with a few others.
We seek to provide quality, stylish, timeless garments at an affordable price and 9/10 if you have an old piece you can probably put it with a new piece.
We just stay in our lane, we don’t really follow trends we just like to create good pieces that people enjoy. We’re all about the love and creating through our feelings, interactions, and experiences every piece has a story.

Last thing I almost forgot we don’t restock our pieces.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I had to put myself out there as a person. Without the people there is no me so with each delivery, each meeting, each discussion I always try to establish some kind of relationship or even put myself out there if they may need some assistance with something. I’m cool, I stand on business, I’m humble and I stay in my lane. I also started creating content giving outfit looks or ways to style some of the pieces I was dropping, people enjoyed those edits too so I kind of picked that up. Looking to further the reputation in the market through community and collaboration so we going see how it go this for the people!
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
It’s not really one story that I can pinpoint but it’s been times in this game where I’ve been down to ground zero and had to hit that reset button or think of another strategy to keep it going. I done faced product, delays, loss money, crumbled relationships and some more but that’s just part of the game. I knew what I signed up for before I got in the game needless to say I love everything that come with it.
