We recently connected with Anthony Ferdin and have shared our conversation below.
Anthony, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you share a story about the kindest thing someone has done for you and why it mattered so much or was so meaningful to you?
I’d have to say a friend gettting me video equipment/ gear I need . This person is someone who I’ve worked with for a long time and has become a great friend through us working together on various projects big and small . So receiving that definitely felt good and made me feel appreciated and valued.
Anthony, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Anthony ferdin I got into photography about 9 yrs ago but before that I always enjoyed taking pictures on trips and vacations I would go on but when I started taking it serious I had juss quit my job and was looking for something I could do for my self that I could work towards in the future, so while looking for another job I would find myself taking pictures with my phone of random things while I was running errands or juss out and about, I started noticing that ppl seem to like the pictures I would take so I did it more and more, some of my phone pictures even got featured on big ig accts which was surprising, eventually I did get a camera and was able to take even better photos, so much so that I’ve met tons of amazing photographers because of my work and all kinds of ppl from different industries, I’ve worked with clothing companies and worked with some amazing famous tik tokers / influencers and other amazing models / clients thanks to me putting myself and my work out there, but i wouldn’t be where I’m at with out all the amazing ppl I work with and who are apart of my team so shout out to miss lulu q ( ig missluluq95 ) and to miguel Cantu/ altered vision studios ( ig sfxartisttx ) and jacobi Jeter ( ig andrewjacobi ) these ppl are why I am where i am and keep growing, I eventually did find a job all those years ago… Many in fact that have came and gone over the years but because of my hard work and dedication and passion I have, I officially do what I love for a living doing photography full time. My work consists of portrait photography, commercial photography of businesses and product photography for a wide range of products a client(s) might have. I think what sets me apart from everyone is my editing style and look everyone has a unique look and I think mine is unique to me. And what I’d say I’m proud of is how far I’ve come from where I originally started. But the main thing you should know is if you choose me for your project whatever that may be you’ll be working with someone who wants to bring your vision or idea to life as much as you do .
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect I’d say is a happy client or a collaborative partner on a project and the finished product, wether that’s photography or videography. It always feels so rewarding knowing you made someone happy with the work you do and how it comes out .
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Well if your not resilient you probably won’t be successful or achieve the success you want, nothing worth having is easy and I’ve had a ton of things happen that have made me resilient, not including health issues being burnt out, lack of motivation, but just life in general can be hard but it’s how you rise up from those circumstances that really matters.
