As a casino streamer and influencer, I’ve witnessed firsthand how traditional marketing methods like TV ads and magazine print have lost their edge in reaching modern audiences. I remember speaking with a casino executive who was skeptical of this shift until they saw one of my TikTok videos highlighting a slot jackpot. Within hours, it garnered over 10,000 views, bringing significant attention to the casino without any of the costs of traditional ads. This trend opens up tremendous opportunities for casinos to connect with a younger, tech-savvy audience, but there are also challenges. Creating consistent viral content requires creativity, agility, and a deep understanding of online communities. However, those willing to embrace this shift can see massive returns as online engagement becomes the future of casino marketing.

My name is Anthony Cicali, but most people know me as Hoagie from my Twitch streams and casino content. I’m from New Jersey, and my journey into the casino world started during my college days when I fell in love with poker. Regular trips to Atlantic City expanded my passion for poker, and I soon combined my love for gambling with my outgoing personality through live streaming. Today, I stream casino games, poker, and slots, while also creating content across multiple platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.

What sets me apart from others is my deep connection with my audience. I don’t just stream; I engage with fans, respond to questions, and create a community around our shared love for the casino world. I’m proud of how this community has grown, especially with meetups and charity events where we give back. I love showcasing land-based casino experiences through vlogs and sharing tips and strategies during my streams. My goal is to show others that gambling, when done responsibly, can be both fun and rewarding. Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

Building my audience on social media has been a journey of trial and error, but consistency has been the key. When I first started, I knew I had to offer something unique, so I focused on creating engaging casino content that showcased my personality and genuine love for gaming. I began streaming regularly on Twitch, posting highlights, tips, and experiences on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Over time, I noticed that viral content—short, engaging clips—drove the most attention. So I brainstormed creative ideas that had the potential to go viral, from big wins to humorous moments.

My biggest piece of advice for anyone just starting to build their social media presence is to stay consistent. Post regularly, engage with your audience, and don’t be afraid to experiment with different types of content. Keep an eye on what’s trending, but also stay true to your own style. Viral videos can really help boost your presence, so take time to brainstorm creative and unique ideas that will resonate with your target audience. What helped me build my reputation in the casino streaming world is my commitment to responsible gambling and my consistent content delivery. Unfortunately, the casino industry does have a small percentage of scammers, but I make it a priority to set a positive example. I always preach the importance of playing within reasonable limits and maintaining control. By consistently providing authentic, engaging content, while promoting a healthy approach to gambling, I’ve earned the trust of my audience. This focus on transparency and responsibility has really set me apart and helped establish my credibility in the market.
