Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Anthony Amadeo. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Anthony, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
I’d have to say my collages. They really feel like the purest expression of who I am as an artist. I love the process of taking pieces of the past—photos, textures, ideas—and merging them with the present to create something new. It’s such a freeing medium where there are no rules, just a flow of creativity that feels very personal.
What’s especially meaningful to me is when I take my collages to the next level and bring them to life in video form for my social media pages. That’s where you can really see the movement, the layers shifting, and the way everything interacts. I pull a lot of inspiration from Monty Python and the Dadaists, both of which had this wild, experimental approach to cutting, ripping, and sometimes even sewing things back together. It’s a little chaotic, but that’s the point—it’s where everything clicks for me creatively.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hi, I’m Anthony Amadeo, the brain behind amadeo amadeo creative. I like to think of myself as a multi-hyphenate artist who never quite fits into one box—and that’s exactly how I like it. My work spans photography, painting, scent design, and collage art, but at its core, everything I do is about storytelling. Whether it’s through a bold black-and-white portrait or a hand-ripped, stitched-together collage, my goal is to create work that feels alive, raw, and personal.
I got into this world of creativity because it’s always been second nature to me. Growing up, art was my way of understanding the world and expressing myself. Over time, I realized it wasn’t just a passion—it was something I wanted to share with others. Photography came first; it’s where I explore bold shapes, movement, and styling. Then came collage, where I bring together elements of the past and present to tell visual stories. My scent design is the newest addition—each scent I create is like a bottled memory or mood, layered and deeply personal.
As for amadeo amadeo, the brand is an extension of me. It’s a creative studio offering custom scent designs, portrait photography, collage work, and more. But beyond the services and products, what I offer is an experience. My work is about creating emotional connections—helping clients capture who they are, what their stories are, and what they want to share with the world.
What sets me apart? I’d say it’s my personal touch and the depth of meaning behind everything I create. I draw a lot of inspiration from my Italian-American upbringing, the textures and colors of Los Angeles, and everything from golden-age Hollywood to modern brutalism. Each project I take on feels like a collaboration between me and the person or story I’m creating for. I’m also someone who loves to experiment, whether it’s sewing pieces of a collage or hand-painting visuals for my scent line.
What I’m most proud of is the way my work resonates with people. Whether it’s a client who feels seen in a portrait I’ve taken or someone who experiences a memory through a scent I’ve crafted, it’s that connection that makes everything worthwhile.
If there’s one thing I want people to know about amadeo amadeo, it’s that it’s more than just a brand. It’s a creative space where ideas, memories, and stories come to life—where the past and present come together in unexpected ways. I want people to feel inspired, seen, and excited when they interact with my work, whether it’s through a photo, a painting, or even a simple Instagram video.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Absolutely. I’m a very visual person—my mind is always buzzing with images, colors, and ideas. For a long time, I kept those visions to myself, but I realized the real magic happens when I can share them with others. My goal is to take the creative chaos in my head and turn it into something tangible that other people can connect with.
Whether it’s through a photograph, a collage, or a scent, I want my work to spark something in people—an emotion, a memory, or just a moment of inspiration. I don’t want to hold back or hoard these ideas; I want to put them out into the world in ways that feel authentic and meaningful. To me, creativity is all about connection, and my mission is to bridge the gap between what I see in my mind and what others can experience through my work.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Living life as a creative is a daily exercise in resilience. There’s no single big moment or dramatic story—it’s the everyday decision to wake up, not give up, and keep pushing forward that defines my journey. Choosing to do what I love, despite the uncertainty, the doubts, and the challenges, is a feat in itself.
Every day, I face the question: Do I keep going? And every day, I answer with a yes. It’s not always easy—some days feel like uphill battles, where the wins are small but hard-earned. But even on the toughest days, I remind myself why I do this. The work I create, the people I connect with, and the stories I get to tell keep me grounded and motivated.
Resilience, for me, is about showing up and staying true to my vision, even when the path isn’t clear. It’s about believing in the power of creativity and trusting that, step by step, it all leads somewhere meaningful.
