Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Annie Muniz. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Annie, thanks for joining us today. Do you have a hero? What have you learned from them?
I have to say that everything I do and the successful woman I have become is all due to my hero , my late and beloved mother. She was a true definition of Classy and Sassy, a hard working woman indeed. My mother was an immigrant, born in Ecuador, she decided to come to America and live the American dream, sacrificing so much. Later she married my dad and created a life and home for herself and her family, not without the many challenges that came with. She embraced every single one of them with grace, humility and lots of determination. My mother taught me that with dedication, focus and passion for what you do, I would meet great people and do wonderful things and be very successful. She explained that working in what you love to do wasn’t a chore it was a choice and a gift. All I needed to do was Love what I did and do what I loved.
My mother was also quite the party planner, she planned elaborate dinner parties and the holidays parties she planned and decorated were truly works of arts. I guess this is why I fell in love with this career of a Wedding and Event Planner and Floral Designer over 20 years ago. My mother has influenced me in ways I never saw possible, the journey has been quite the challenge with out her daily calls and facetime’s, but it has been one that I will always be grateful for.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I have many stories I can share that can illustrate my resilience, though out my journey and career, here is one for you.
Many years ago I was coordinating and designing a wedding that NEVER HAPPENED. Needless to say it was a nightmare, The day of the Wedding this beautiful bride unbeknown to her, her family and all her vendors would be left at the altar.
This unfortunate and sad situation had many broken pieces I needed to attend to. I sprung into action, from consoling the family and the bride to making the sad announcements and finally celebrating at the end of the evening, yes nothing was wasted . The strength this family and Bride had- had to be celebrated. At the end we all learned a valuable lesson. One I can say for sure is to never underestimate your strength , resilience and the ability to make a bad situation a better one.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
I use my social media platforms with content that generates a good following. “Real Followers”. I try to generate content on all platforms daily. One other source is word of month and of course referrals of prior clients. These sources have worked for me..
