We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful ANNIE JULES. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with ANNIE below.
ANNIE, appreciate you joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
My NEW MUSIC ALBUM “The Evolution of Annie Jules” sparks a huge monumental meaning in my life which speaks about the growth & the stages of re-development and then finally an evolutional restoration. This particular project has been in the making for about 5 years now. During that process, this album was a constant stop and go situation for me while creating it due to time spent from touring and performing around the world and being a teacher at schools. However, now in 2022, the right time finally came for me to release it. My album is especially more personal to me because I’m telling you my story on how I got through so many difficult challenges, trials & tribulations, & expressing that it wasn’t an easy process walking through the journey of my life. However, because I’m a believer of God, his love for me saved my life and it really did. When I thought I couldn’t have all the strength to make it by myself, God literally helped me get through all those times of personal struggles in self-confidence, self esteem issues, the loss of my Mother, getting to know my self, rejection, and acceptance. Well, In this album, I’m inspiring others to never give up even through many storms in your life. Through it all, your own voice & your sound you carry is your power & that is so profoundly divine & ahead of its time. Your sound is extremely well-needed right now in the times we are living in, its super crucial to speak up on whatever you believe in. Never give up on God. What the creator has given you is a very powerful gift that no one else can take away from you. Also, never be afraid of storms that may come in your life, for those are just temporary. We have a real God that is tremendously greater and better than any other situations or circumstances in our lives and he most definitely can help us get through the impossible that turn out to be the sudden miracles of deliverance from the impossible into reality.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Well, I have such an admiration love for what I do that I brand it in a way where it’s from love, freedom, & divine purpose. My Company name is called “ANNEE J PRODUCTIONS LLC”. Established since the summer of 2020, I was truly encouraged by many people who really loved & believed in me as an artist to start creating this company name which speaks my voice & truth. “ANNEE J PRODUCTIONS LLC” is my very own record label that also brings music services for selling my music or selling any merchandise I create like clothes, hats, & CDs for my valued customers & also provide music lessons for children. My love for music though all stem back from when I was a child. At 10 years of age, I began having the urge of interest to play my very first instrument, The piano. Then I moved on into taking lessons on the piano for about 1 year and half from my older cousin who first introduced me into classical music and gospel all put together. So I studied classical music for that 1 year & a half and then once those lessons stopped for 1 period in my life, I went on to continue teaching my own self by ear how to play other styles of music, training myself in learning from other musicians around me as well that I grew up with. Once I got into my teens, at the age 13, that’s when I first got introduced to the styles of Jazz and Rnb music and also Carribean compa, soca & reggae music. My background ethnicity is Hatian so I’m a proud Haitian-American born & raised in Miami, Fl. My mom at the time in the late 1980’s moved into this country so that she and I can have a better life in America. At the 17 years of age, while in high school, I started getting around playing both jazz and gospel music then once word got around that I could really play so amazingly well on keys, I then started playing at many local churches in my community. Playing at different church congregations in the gospel world as well as learning all other styles music helped re-develop my gift of playing and how I would perform on stage and improvise on other songs for later in my life in my early 20’s. Then right into my 20’s, I started performing & Touring professionally with other corporate Jazz and Top 40 Bands Around the Globe & of course in South Florida. I have been performing & touring live professionally for 11 years now. I’ve played with so many different artist like, Baby Cham, Damian Marley, Camilla Cabello, Los Wizzards, Eric Seats, COJO KO, George Tandy Sr. & Jr & Valerie Tyson just to name a few.In the Gospel world, I’ve played for Kierra Sheard, Sherl Burke, GIEL, Jonathan Laurince, & Pastor Avery Jones. I have to give a huge credit to the people that actually believed in me through my musical journey. These people played a huge loving & nurturing role in my life. These people are, The Late great Jazz pioneer & Music Educator Melton Mustafa Sr. & his son The Virtuoso Jazz Saxophonist/Grammy Nominated Music Educator Melton Mustafa Jr., Jazz & Rnb singer, performer & South Florida’s own “Queen of soul” Miss Valerie Tyson, Jazz & Rnb Violinist & Music Professor Nicole Yarling, & Jazz legend pianist George Tandy Sr. These valuable legendary Artist were super instrumental for me in my life & I am forever grateful for the love you all have shown to me over the years especially through my early start of my career, I just want to sayI love you & thank you.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Yes! I would love to give back of course to my community from where I started. I want to inspire a next generation coming after that you can make it and absolutely any one of your dreams our possible. I want to create some kind of organization like in philanthropy work in giving other young children, teens, & older adults more opportunities that are available to them in today’s world. I’m in the process of creating all of these ideas into reality as we speak right now.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
First, Don’t ever be afraid to face rejection. From going through the processes of rejection then comes greater opportunities that I meant for you. Some of those greater opportunities may come from unfamiliar territories but it will come to be your most greatest blessings of victory which will be your purpose in your life & those victories will come from what you really love doing. Rejection will lead you to your greatest better purpose.
Second, Don’t ever be afraid of Making Mistakes. What I’ve learned in this life is that when we are most human is when we make mistakes. Everything happens for a divine reason that a lot of times we may not understand or realize why, but it’s all apart of God’s plan to get to your next breakthrough. It is an ever growing learning experience that I had to learn, but we all have to grow through it in this beautiful path way called life. We have to allow ourselves time in being nurtured with love & compassion also learn from these swerves & curves so we can get to know ourselves better & ultimately reach our most fullest self.
Lastly, Learn to Forgive. I already know that forgiveness is not an easy subject to talk about nor is it ever easy to let go of the past but trust me, I’m speaking from experience. You have to truly let go completely so that you can finally be free and give it to God, trusting that his burden is truly the light to his way for us. You have to forgive others not only for the person that may have hurt you in whatever way, but really, the real purpose of forgiveness is entirely for your own well being so that you won’t miss out on whatever God & life itself has to offer moving forward. Forgive others because nobody is ever perfect in this life. Let us be real, we are all humans here. People are going to always test you but do not ever let those unnecessary noise from others get the very best of you. You are so valuable and a true gift of love to this life in which God himself created. Forgive so that you can move on and have so much greater blessings coming for you. Always remember this, “If God is for you, who can be against you”. No one.
