We recently connected with Anne Marie Vicencio and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Anne Marie, thanks for joining us today. We believe kindness is contagious and so we’d love for you to share with us and our audience about the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you?
When my business partner and I were just starting out, we had big dreams but very limited resources. We officially opened our practice in February of 2020—right before the world changed—and at that time, we didn’t even have an office of our own. Finding a space we could afford felt nearly impossible. That’s when Dr. Hilby, a chiropractor and dear colleague, did something that I’ll never forget. Without hesitation, she offered us the use of her office on the days she wasn’t seeing patients. She didn’t ask for rent, a commission, or anything in return—she simply believed in us and wanted to see us succeed.
Her kindness gave our business a place to grow, but more than that, it gave us hope during one of the most uncertain times imaginable. In the face of fear and instability, her generosity felt like a warm light guiding us forward. To this day, her support means the world to me, and Dr. Hilby will always hold a very special place in my heart. I’m forever grateful for what she did—not just because it helped us build our business, but because it reminded me that true kindness still exists.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
For those who may not have heard of me or Allied Kinesthetics before, my name is Dr. Anne Marie Vicencio, and I’m a board-certified Doctor of Chiropractic with a deep passion for helping people move better, feel stronger, and live pain-free lives. My journey into this field began with my love for human movement and performance, which I cultivated while earning my bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Saint Mary’s College of California. That path led me to pursue my Doctorate of Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, where I immersed myself in various technique-based organizations and served as Vice President of the Palmer West Sports Council.
Those years shaped me into the chiropractor I am today—one who not only understands the science of movement but also the heart behind healing. At Allied Kinesthetics, I specialize in sports chiropractic care, but my work extends far beyond athletes. I treat everyday individuals—desk workers with chronic neck pain, weekend warriors with tight hips, and parents who just want to keep up with their kids. What sets my approach apart is that it’s entirely patient-specific. I look closely at how you move, where your pain is stemming from, and what goals you’re striving for—whether that’s running a marathon or simply getting through your workday without discomfort.
A core part of my healing philosophy is blending both Eastern and Western medicine. I believe that in order to truly heal the body, we must address the root causes of dysfunction—which in chiropractic are often described as the 3 T’s: toxins, trauma, and thoughts. These are the physical, chemical, and emotional stressors that disrupt our body’s ability to function and thrive. This is why my mission is to heal others through a combination of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual practices. Whether that’s through hands-on chiropractic care, movement therapy, nutritional support, energy work, or simply holding space for someone’s emotional release, my goal is to create a healing experience that addresses the whole person—not just their symptoms.
Clients often share that what makes their experience with me different is the combination of care, attentiveness, and results. I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I integrate chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue techniques, movement education, and rehabilitative exercises tailored to each individual. Many of my patients come in feeling frustrated or overlooked—and leave feeling empowered, understood, and on a clear path to healing.
Opening Allied Kinesthetics in February of 2020, right before the pandemic, was both a test of resilience and a testament to purpose. I’m incredibly proud that despite all the challenges, we’ve grown into a trusted space where people feel safe, cared for, and truly seen. My goal has always been to create a place where healing is personalized, where your story matters, and where progress is measured not just by reduced pain—but by restored confidence in your body, mind, and spirit.
Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing chronic pain, or seeking deeper alignment in your health and life, I want you to know that I’m here to help. Allied Kinesthetics is more than just a clinic—it’s a sanctuary for healing, rooted in compassion, guided by both science and soul, and dedicated to helping you rediscover balance, vitality, and wholeness from the inside out.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I truly believe that what helped build my reputation within this market is the way I care for people—not just as patients, but as whole human beings. From day one, I’ve made it a priority to ensure that every person who walks through my doors feels seen, heard, and understood. So often in healthcare, people feel like they’re being rushed, dismissed, or reduced to just a symptom or a diagnosis. I’ve always approached my work differently.
For me, it starts with presence. I take the time to listen—not just to what someone says, but to how they move, how they’re feeling, and what they’re going through. I understand that when someone seeks my help, they’re not just asking for pain relief; they’re asking for clarity, trust, and guidance in a vulnerable moment. That’s a responsibility I don’t take lightly.
The truth is, I genuinely love people. I believe that everyone has a story, and when you take the time to truly listen, you create space for real healing to begin. That’s why being a great listener has become one of the most important tools in my practice. I don’t just listen to what hurts—I listen to how people feel, what they’ve been through, and what matters to them. That human connection is everything.
My patients consistently tell me that they feel genuinely cared for, that I create a safe and welcoming space, and that they leave feeling better both physically and emotionally. I believe this reputation has grown simply because I focus on human connection first. I don’t treat people like problems to solve—I meet them where they are, as people navigating real challenges, and walk with them toward healing.
Ultimately, it’s this blend of clinical expertise and compassionate care—along with consistency, integrity, and trust—that has helped me build meaningful, lasting relationships in my community. And I think that’s what people remember most.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients for me has consistently been word of mouth—and I truly believe you should never underestimate its power. When someone has a meaningful, positive experience and feels genuinely cared for, they naturally want to share that with the people they love. Most of my clients come to me because someone they trust told them, “You have to go see Dr. Annie.”
I’ve found that the most authentic growth happens through genuine human connection. People don’t just refer others because they had a good adjustment—they refer others because they felt seen, heard, and healed on multiple levels. That’s the energy I bring into every session, and I believe that kind of care speaks louder than any marketing campaign ever could.
It’s incredibly humbling to know that the care I provide creates a ripple effect. From friends and family to coworkers and community members, word-of-mouth referrals have built a strong, loyal foundation for my practice. And it all comes back to the core of my philosophy: love people, listen deeply, and treat them as more than just patients—treat them like the complex, beautiful humans they are.
