We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Annalise Orr a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Annalise thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
Several years ago when Food trucks became popular, I thought it would be a cool idea to have a bar truck that you could take and set up paces. I was in the process of researching and planning when COVID hit. It put a pause on everything. Last year, I decided to finally take the plunge and start something. As I was looking for trailers, I found Arrowhead (as a whole) for sale. I knew it was the perfect opportunity for me. I immediately looked at different companies in the area, business models, thinking of ways to grow the business past its current state and set us apart from the competition.

Annalise, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
We are a fully customizable mobile bar experience. We bring the party to you!
We can serve anything from alcohol, coffee, & mocktails – all the way to – popcorn, pickles and desserts.
We utilize our remodeled Horse trailer, Dolly, to serve out of creating a beautiful atmosphere while containing our work space.
We also have a Photo Booth, Furniture Lounge sets, and outdoor games clients can add onto their package to enhance the event.
We pride ourselves on taking the stress off the client to allow them to relax and truly enjoy whatever occasion they might have.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
This is a great question, and really is something that happened just recently. A bit of backstory, our trailer is a very old horse trailer that was refurbished into its current look. It isn’t a brand new custom build. A few weeks ago we were driving down to a wedding about 2 hours away. I looked back in my review mirror to see that the weld on the nose cap of my trailer had broken and blown off. Poof, it was gone. There was no salvaging the part and definitely no fixing it prior to the wedding. We made a stop at Walmart to get some tape, excess decor, and other necessities and fixed it up as best as we could for that event. Thankfully, the bride was extremely understanding and it still looked beautiful as it was.
I thought it would be an easy process of getting a new part ordered and replacing it when we got back home. However, after searching all over we realized that due to the age and size of the trailer there were not any replacement caps to be found in Texas. We eventually had to special order one from Oklahoma and had to arrange transport of it back home. It is hard to have to make calls and let your clients know you are unable to fulfill their vision or agreed upon service.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
We primarily serve for Weddings. With that one of the largest avenues for vendors to get clientele is through TheKnot.com
Earlier this year, we were awarded with Best of Weddings for 2023. The Knot takes in several factors when awarding these but partly utilize reviews and client feedback for the previous calendar year. We have been blessed with wonderful clients who leave reviews. This helps so much as a small business since other potential clients see the weight of The Knot and know how previous experiences went. Add on that we have been in business since 2021 and they know they are getting a reliable company with proven service.
