We recently connected with Annalisa & John Squires and have shared our conversation below.
Annalisa & John, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s been the best thing you’ve ever seen (or done yourself) to show a customer that you appreciate them?
We really want to make sure our clients are happy and how much we greatly appreciate them! As a disabled owned / operated business we realize the challenges of daily living with a disability all while trying to get your responsibilities & goals accomplished. We like to offer extended hours for our clients and available nights and weekends to discuss products or answer questions. Each month we personally thank our clients for supporting us by sending thank you cards with stickers & magnets. We often feature clients on our social media, we love seeing them happy and enjoying their purchase of adaptive equipment. Our goal is to help our clients be active in the sports & activities they love.
Annalisa & John, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Rolling In Paradise is disabled owned and operated business, specializing in adaptive equipment for an active lifestyle. We want to share our love of sports and physical activities with other adaptive users, family, and friends.
We offer a variety of products from wheelchairs to handcycles and everything in between. Some other products include shower chairs, beach chairs, standing frames, wheelchair wheels, tires, accessories, and much more! Many of the products we offer assist in the daily needs of someone that uses a wheelchair and the ability to play sports and maintain physical fitness which is so important for your mental and physical health.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Show up every day! We are very active on social media and post almost daily regarding our business and our everyday lives. Exceptional customer service is at the core of our business, and we feel strongly about building relationships with our clients. Many of the products we offer are custom and built to order and we must have great communication skills to make sure all the needs of the client are being addressed. We are available nights and weekends, when you have a small business, you need to be available for the client at their convenience. We strive for a smooth purchase experience and provide regular updates to all clients during the build process as their equipment is being made. Consistent & open communication is key.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
John (our business founder) sustained a spinal cord injury in a 1987 diving accident resulting in quadriplegia at the age of fifteen. He understands the needs of fellow wheelchair users and that is an important factor to many others in a similar situation. He understands the ups and downs of using a wheelchair, so he connects with clients. He’s able to answer questions with firsthand experience. He’s been incredibly active as an athlete all his life and maintaining physical fitness is imperative for his health. Sharing his experience and helping others be active is his passion.
