Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Annabelle KAJBAF. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Annabelle, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
As a fashion journalist focused on sustainable brands, Irealized it was time for me to take responsibility in the fashion industry. With the rise of fast fashion such as Shein, Boohoo and more, I interviewed many fashion designers and realized it was time to make a change and elevate brands who make a change and give back to communities.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Just like any journalist, I do my due diligence and make sure I read thoroughly reviews about the brand as well as the press already published. Sustainable fashion has as many definitions as there are sustainable brands. Most of the time, I make sure that the brands are making a change and have an impact – whether it’s helping women who were trafficked, women who need support for their families and so on. It feels like even mainstream brands now have fully grasped the importance of speaking to an audience that is ready to listen about the environment. Fashion is the second most polluting industry, and it is only logical that even H&M and others are now delivering products that come as a response to consumers’ concerns. “Who Made My Clothes?” was an amazing campaign by Fashion Revolution, to whom I was happy to meet via Carrie Fischer at the FIT when I was a speaker at the FIT back in 2019 as a fashion journalist. We can only make a change in the industry together.
Have you ever had to pivot?
I have been doing fashion consulting and journalism for more than seven years on and off with fashion journalism. I started interning for Marie Saeki PR in New York back in 2012 and discovered the world of PR with her. Marie is a French-American Fashion expert, and I was fortunate enough to explore the world of NY fashion with her, from representing brands at Bergdorf Goodman to Henri Bendel, from gifting Anna Wintour to assisting the best fashion show of NYFW. It gave me a great insight into this industry works.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I am very genuine when it comes to my social media. I only share business updates, whether it is publishing a story or discovering a new exciting brand. I feel like the more honest you are, the more people you attract. This also applies to life in general!
