We recently connected with Anna Tolstaia and have shared our conversation below.
Anna, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Is there a heartwarming story from your career that you look back on?
When I was in my 3rd year of medical school, I realized that everything I was learning helped people with sever illnesses, and I had to find something that would improve their quality of life. I thought a lot and realized that the most common problem is related to the musculoskeletal system, which limits our capabilities. I decided to go study therapeutic massage. I found a school that had applied kinesiology and Taoist practices. This school gave me an understanding of the body as a single system, and I began to heal everything around with my hands, using osteopathic and other ancient methods. It started to make a lot of healings for people and I got many clients all over the world of all ages.
My second goal was to help people find inner harmony in their souls. I have always loved horses and they gave me good mental support, but I never liked when they use punishment to train them and a bit in the mouth to control their movement. I began to study free training methods and one of them was based on the language of our body and mental contact, through the activation of different types of energy in ourselves from peace to high dynamics. This training allowed me to find control over the control of my body through working with the horse. Then I realized that this could be a good training for people’s self-development and found the international school Egala, which uses horses for psychotherapy and self-development training. They taught me to see the horse as a therapist who reflects our inner feelings when we are close to him in free space. the horse is an animal of the herd and it is always interested in the condition of those who are nearby and the maintenance of balance in the general herd, so it gives us its signals through certain actions next to us, which we can decipher for ourselves as answers to our deep questions to ourselves and life. After completing my training, I began organizing women’s self-development meetings with a small herd of horses, where girls, living their life stories through communication with horses in a free space, found a lot of enlightenment and valuable experience for solving their problems.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Now I do health coaching and self-development events with horses.
We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
One day I received many letters from a girl who really wanted to meet me and wanted to help me develop my health coaching. I replied to her letters that now I do self-development meetings with horses and I needed an assistant for organization. To introduce her to the method of self-development through communication with horses, I decided to do a personal session for her with a herd of horses. Her request in the session was the question of what I can do for self-realization. While communicating with horses, she found the answer to what she wanted to do, something useful and practical for people and to be part of our team. Next month she got a classes of singing bowl and she became part of our program with session of singing bowls.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I love what I do and I show people my own example of healthy life style. I keep my own vegetarian diet last 12 years, I use most of time a lot herbs and natural supplements to support my health. I do yoga practice last 10 years. I have a beautiful 3 year old daughter who is so inspired of me and she want to be a doctor for animals.
