Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Anna Taylor Lovve . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Anna Taylor , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?

I started doing makeup looks (glam and SFX) when I was about 14. I would watch YouTube videos on how to do different looks & practice on myself until I was old enough to start working at my local haunted houses. I loved watching Glam & Gore. Mykie’s videos helped me learn & improve my skills as a makeup artist. I wish i had done more research about becoming a professional. I went to cosmetology school & got my license but I later on I realize that I could’ve gotten a certification for makeup instead of going through schooling for everything (hair, makeup, skin). Where I lived at the time there wasn’t really a film industry so I had a hard time getting into the career I wanted to be in until I moved to Arizona. I used to do theater as a kid & throughout school. I wish I got more into it as I got older because I would be a lot farther in my career as an actor if I had taken the right steps at a younger age. I work with some amazing people that have helped me become a better actor & I have improved so much from when I was little.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I have always wanted to be in the film industry. When I was little it was my dream to be an actor. As I got older I fell in love with makeup & became a makeup artist. When I moved to Arizona I realized that I could do both careers. I stared reaching out to people in the industry here & was able to get some gigs doing makeup on some short films & special events. I recently have acted in a few short films that are in the works at the moment & I’m very excited to share those soon. I’m very passionate about my work & always try to do the best I can no matter if I’m doing a simple makeup look or something really crazy. The same goes for when I’m acting. I always love to learn new techniques that would help me to become more successful within my career.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

I absolutely love being apart of a creative team. Watching creative people I get to work with being able to create something so cool that we are all so passionate about makes my heart so full of joy & very excited for the future for all of us.

How did you build your audience on social media?

I would say I’m definitely still working on building an audience on social media but what I have learned over the years is that you just have to keep up with promoting yourself & your business. It took me a long time to not care about the hate or negativity that some people would leave on my social media but I started to just ignore it & focus on the positive responses I would get & the support from family & friends.
