Alright, Anna Snyder & Elisha Villanueva thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?

We both wanted something was stood for empowerment and support for women everywhere. A business name that would stand out and mean something when people read it! Flex It= Strong Pink= Women.

I, Anna, was sitting at a local Mexican restaurant and was talking about business and business names, then it just dawned on me and I thought, Flex it Pink sounds cool. I immediately texted Elisha and she loved it!

Anna Snyder & Elisha Villanueva , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

We are two moms who are passionate about fitness and living a healthy lifestyle. We created Flex it Pink in 2013 to support, encourage, educate and empower other women in their healthy lifestyle and fitness journey. Our number one priority is to help support every woman in each step of their journey without judgment.

We wanted to build a brand that meant something. A place where women could feel loved and supported and not judged at all! Flex it Pink started actually as a local support/run group for local moms! That year the girls in the group lost a combined weight loss of over 300lbs!
It dawned on us that maybe we should offer this support and stuff worldwide! Flex it Pink was born. We started with virtual 5ks ( which we were one of the original creators of that) that we could help women become more active, offer them a judge free place to go, and encouragement to be successful on thier health and fitness journey.

From there, we created affordable, high quality clothing and introduced our month subscription boxes. We currently have three subscriptions available! Our FIP VIP subscription is a more of a motivational style box. It includes a tank to tee, and 3-5 other items to keep you motivated! Our Athleisure subscription is a one piece a month clothing subscription! Included is a piece of high quality fitness wear and can range from sports bras, leggings, jackets, etc! Our third subscription is our bimonthly 5k subscription and that included a tank or tee, run medal, and bib.

Along with our subscriptions, we have a private fb group for women, offer tons of other fun clothing and accessories on our website, www.flexitpink.com and are active on our social media channels.

We have a warehouse located in Southern California, where we hand pick and ship all products to our customers! We are a very small team that consists of Elisha and I, and two part time employees!

During our big shipping days, we have family members and friends who come in and help us package all the pretty pink packages. Each package is filled with love and appreciation.

How’d you meet your business partner?

Elisha and I actually met many many years ago. Her and I have been life long friends since the 5th grade. We use to ride and compete on our horses. We quickly became friends. As I entered high school, Elisha and I lost connection a little! About 10 ish years ago, we reconnected on Facebook and began running the local Group together. We were always on the same page and we decided to become business partners.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

We think what helped build our market base was just being connected with our customers! Being real, honest, and feeling like we were best friends with them. We wanted to bond with everyone that was apart of the Flex it Pink community.

A little special thing we also do, is everyone that orders from our website gets a hand written note from us. Just a special little touch we like to add and to let our customers know we appreciate them. I think personal touches go a long way.
