We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Anna Randle a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Anna, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Getting that first client is always an exciting milestone. Can you talk to us about how you got your first customer who wasn’t a friend, family, or acquaintance?
I got my very first client from social media. I was renting a small space in a hair salon on the west side and had a small but nice set up. I was a bit nervous but was always confident in my art. I welcomed her into my space and began her consult. The same client I saw that day in 2019, is still one of my clients today. I’m so grateful she took a chance with me and I’m so grateful to have been a part of her beauty maintenance all these years.

Anna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I entered the beauty industry because I’ve always been passionate about helping people feel confident, elevated, and seen. What started as a side hustle in lash artistry quickly evolved into a dedicated career and eventually a brand. Over time, I realized there was a gap in the lash space for high-quality services paired with luxury-level client care and reliable, professional-grade products, so I built a business that embodies all three.
Today, I run a growing lash extension brand and product line designed for both everyday clients and professional artists. My work includes lash & brow services, along with specialized retention-focused styling that prioritizes natural lash health. On the product side, my line currently includes a full range of lash trays, tools, and accessories, and I’m expanding with two new adhesives to continue offering artists high-performance, trustworthy supplies they can depend on.
I’m proud that my brand solves very real problems in the lash industry: inconsistent quality, lack of education, and unreliable vendors. My clients and partnering estheticians know they can expect consistency, professionalism, transparency, and results. What sets me apart is the way I blend luxury service with education. I teach clients and artists why retention matters, how proper technique transforms results, and how investing in the right products elevates their work.
I’m most proud of the community I’m building. My long-term vision is to grow into a multi-million-dollar enterprise that not only serves clients but also empowers local estheticians by becoming their trusted, exclusive lash supply vendor. I love being able to mentor new artists, support fellow business owners, and create a brand that feels personal, intentional, and deeply rooted in quality.
What I want potential clients and followers to know is that this brand was built with purpose. Every product, every service, every detail of the client experience is designed with care. My work is about transformation. not just aesthetically, but in confidence, education, and opportunity. This is more than a lash business to me; it’s a platform for connection, growth, and elevating others.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
My best source of new clients has always been word of mouth. The majority of people who find my business come in because someone they trust had a great experience and personally recommended me. In the beauty industry, referrals carry more weight than any advertisement. People want to know their lashes are in good hands, and hearing that directly from a friend, family member, or another professional builds instant credibility.
Word of mouth also tells me that I’m delivering an experience people feel confident sharing. It means clients aren’t just satisfied but they’re excited enough to talk about it. That kind of organic growth has been the strongest, most authentic driver of my business.

Can you talk to us about how you funded your business?
The initial capital for my business came from pure hard work and discipline. Before having children, I committed to working six days a week for almost two years with a very specific goal in mind: to build the foundation for the business I knew I wanted. Every extra shift, every long day, and every sacrifice had a purpose. I saved intentionally, stayed focused, and treated that period as my investment phase.
By the time I was ready to launch, I had created my own startup capital through consistency and determination. My business was built from sweat equity, not shortcuts and that’s a part of the story I’m most proud of.
