Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Anna Peck. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Anna, thanks for joining us today. How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
I’ve always been semi crafty even has a kid, And when it comes to wreaths it’s been a teach myself kind of journey. I watched many YouTube tutorials when I first started, I would watch the videos then go buy the supplies I needed and went home to just play and see what I could do. What’s so funny is when I started doing wreaths, I was scared of doing floral designs they intimidated me alot. But then one day I got a custom order for a cotton & greenery wreath and this was when the farmhouse look was just coming out and trending. I made that wreath and she loved it, so I posted it on my personal Facebook and well that post blew up. I’ve grown alot since then as a person and a creator I have learned that quality is way more important then quantity. If you make a mistake or get knocked down, you brush yourself off and get back up! No matter how many times it takes. That’s the learning curve of it all.

Anna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Anna, the owner of Created Haven, a space where my passion for home decor and crafting comes to life. I create handmade floral wreaths, home decor signs, and door hangers. My mission is to help others transform their homes into spaces they truly love—a place of comfort and refuge, as every home should be. The name “Created Haven” was born during a period of reflection after my late husband’s motorcycle accident, when I decided to focus on what truly mattered to me. This creative journey has become my outlet, and the greatest joy it brings is helping others make their homes uniquely their own.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
For the past two and a half years, I feel like I’ve been in a constant state of pivoting—both in life and in business. When my late husband was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident in July 2022, it felt like a bomb had gone off in my life. I was left scrambling to clean up the mess, trying to keep everyone happy, and quickly realizing it was impossible. Death is cruel and ugly, and I hate what it does to people.
This past month, I was reminded of that pain when my dad passed away. His death was different, though. While my husband’s passing was sudden and instant, my dad’s was slow and debilitating due to disease. The silver lining was that my dad passed knowing he was deeply loved, and I had the chance to say everything I wanted to tell him. I only wish I’d had that same chance with my husband.
Death is hard. Grief is hard. And in the middle of all of it, here I am, trying to be present for my 11-year-old daughter, maintain a clean home, and run a small side hustle business. Am I a little crazy for trying to juggle it all? Probably. But here I am, doing my best.
