Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Anna Paulette. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Anna, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
Once I pass from this beautiful dream that I so-called life, I would like for people to remember me as someone that wasn’t afraid to feel, to put herself out there, as an actor, I like to encourage people to have experience new emotions in their life, or accept them. For them to feel this whole experience that we have as human beings after all it happens in a blink of an eye.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I started modeling in my hometown, and eventually went over the border and grew as a model for designer and commercial brands. With billboards and magazine covers. I was modeling for over 10 years, and I eventually moved to New York city and came out as a model for four seasons in NYFW. Eventually, I was discovered on a TV show sets where I came out as an extra and was approached by the Director of the show, wanting to send me a script for an audition that he thought I would seem fit.. he worked on the script for 10 years, he said that he dropped it, and he hasn’t felt like someone could fulfill the characters needs. so it was a compliment for me. After that, I got a leading role for an upcoming film on Amazon prime called Bishops Cove.
When I booked this role, I remember the two scenes that I sent for the audition. Those both scenes I did 30 takes each. I remember I slept till like 2 AM. I wasn’t going to sleep until I got the part. I wasn’t going to sleep until I believe that I was indeed the character. My products and services are based off of feelings, emotions, I like to think about myself as an emotional translator I translate what you want the audience to feel. I fell in love with film, an early age I remember that I wanted to work incredible amount of hours on set and feeling happy about it!
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Absolutely, in fact, I’m going through it right now. It’s safe to say that I recently got out of my two year depression. And this is because of grief, I didn’t grow up with a father, but I grew up with a very present grandmother, and she happened to pass away at the peak of my career, and I fell through a deep dark time in my life that I wouldn’t wish to anyone, but it’s true what they say time heals all wounds, but it’s never easy.. I think I’ve learned to realize that it’s not the end more so the beginning.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I feel like I was a lot more active on my social media way before acting, I first started as a model at 15 throughout my career I would keep everyone updated with my casting calls, runway shows, and photoshoots, posting content is very important consistency is key!
