We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Anna Munguia a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Anna, thanks for joining us today. Let’s talk about social media – do you manage your own or do you have someone or a company that handles it for you? Why did you make the choice you did?

We manage our own, but we have noticed an incredible difference in IG since the pandemic happened. It’s not the same as it used to be. From hashtags not working right, to fake account and leads, it’s simply not the same.
We do what we can through IG, but, it’s just not a source that generates business for us, as it used to.

Anna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Anna Munguia is the talent behind Pristine Events of South Florida, Inc. For over 20 years, Anna has built a reputation for innovation, impeccable taste and a keen eye for detail. Just as important, she’s a respected professional that vendors and venue owners adore. She worked in the Hotel Industry for over 4 years, building strong relationships with event vendors and luxury venues in South Florida.

Anna will use her keen organizational skills and poise to make sure everything is executed flawlessly. She loves the personal relationships she forms with her clients. A wedding is such a joyful and emotional celebration. The privilege of helping couples plan their weddings is something she finds very meaningful and rewarding. Previously a Social Catering Manager at InterContinental Hotels, Anna managed relationships with some of their largest clients. She brings the same commitment to professionalism and strong work ethic to planning all of her events.

Anna holds a B.A. in Broadcast/Journalism and a minor in Sociology from the University of Miami, in Coral Gables, FL. Even though her first passion was to be a Sports Reporter, it was her older sister’s Wedding back in 2002 that changed everything.
Her sister asked her if she would be her Maid of Honor which then turned out to be more than MOH but rather, her Wedding Planner. From there, Anna’s passion for Weddings & Events grew and the rest is history!

Anna is also the founder of, Eat, Drink & Be Married Bridal Expo which began in 2016. She managed and directed 4 of these and her last one took place in 2019, the year before the pandemic.
Anna’s bridal expos are very different then your average ones in that, she creates an environment for all brides, grooms and their guests to feel as if they were walking into their own Wedding.
Each year, she would have a different theme for her shows. From elegant and classy to rose gold and rustic to farm tables and lots of greenery and much more. Let’s not forget to mention, the Pristine entertainers from human tables, live mermaids, stilt walkers, to belly dancers and LED robots.. It was a grand affair!

Anna lives in Miami, Florida with her husband and her two daughters.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

Honesty, Loyalty, Respect, Dedication, Motivation and attention to every detail from beginning to end. My business is mainly driven by referrals. I would say over 80% of our business comes from previous client referrals.
We strive for excellence in every event that we do and we treat each event as if it were our own.
The feedback we receive from all our clients is them thanking us on how we treat them and make them feel as if they were our own family!
