Anna, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
Yes I’m definitely happier as business owner. My younger self had no vision to be a business owner. I saw myself as a personal trainer mom with 3 kids lol. Well, haven’t met someone worth marrying yet, and I became bored just doing personal training. Although, it’s a wonderful and fun job to have. Much of what I learned from personal training I implemented in my business.
To have a regular job would be stable and comfortable, but again I get bored easily and need to have a challenge to work on and achieve that I can say it’s my own and not someone else’s dream.
Sometimes when I’m going through challenging times with growing the business I think it would br easier to work for somebody and not have the responsibility of running a business but then I think of my team and how I can help them grow in their career, have life balance, and give them confidence in themselves.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Since high-school I have been in love with being active and working out. In New York City, I became a freelance personal trainer. I moved to Los Angeles continuing my personal training and working in the health, beauty, and wellness industry.

I’m so proud to have a team of strong minded, confident, women who are eagered to learn and work hard and provide quality service. Honestly, they have been huge help in growing the business. Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
As a business owner, where I manage a team, I am always reading books, listening to podcasts/audible to stay in the know, get fresh ideas, but also to improve myself as a boss and leader to run and grow the business and enhance smoother communication within the team.
I try to remain approachable, open to my team’s ideas, understanding of of what kind of person they attend what their outside schedule is like. Although, I am decisive to get things done. I’m never passive aggressive. Actually, a recent audio book I listen to was ‘Surrounded by Idiots. It’s actually pretty funny and very helpful in giving you perspective in how other people think, and appreciate their way of thinking and working, and how to communicate with them.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
Honestly, I’m still learning how to do that all the time! Haha. I would say my goal is to make them feel like they have a voice, even though they are apart of team they are their own boss, and I also pay them alot more than any of my competitors for the time they do work in providing services. Again, I’m always reading or listening to podcasts on how to be a better leader and business owner.
