Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Anna Garrison. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Anna, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
I am a photographer. I am also a storyteller. Behind every photo is a story. And when I photograph a house, I am not only capturing the space, I’m telling its story. Sometimes they are factual, and other times they are ones I create.
Anna, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I entered the real estate photography arena in 2017, after turning my love of photography from a home into a business. I have established a reputation as one of the area’s leading real estate and interior photographers. My attention to detail and artistic flair brings the spaces I photograph to life.
I am highly respected and sought-after by many top real estate agents, interior designers, and commercial businesses. My diversified portfolio includes luxury homes, historic properties, suburban homes, and commercial properties. And my work has been published in Architectural Digest and Elle Decor magazines.
My passion for photography goes beyond real estate and interior photography. I enjoy traveling and photographing my experiences. My travels have taken me across the U.S., and I with plan to expand my travels internationally in 2023. When I’m not photographing spaces or traveling, I am recording her podcast, “The AnnaLogues”, which focuses on thriving authentically in midlife.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
In 2016, my life changed forever. After 23 years of marriage, I was served with divorce papers. I was a military spouse, supporting my spouse through raising 2 children and adapting to the many challenges a military family faces, such as moving 18 times. Due to our numerous moves, establishing a career was difficult, so on that life-altering day in 2016, I had no idea what I was going to do. As I started mapping out this next chapter of my life, I took a tremendous leap of faith and turned to photography. It had been a hobby for many years, but never had I ever considered making it a career. Within 6 months, my career as a real estate photographer began.
