We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Anna Efremova a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Anna, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Here’s your response in English:
⸻
The idea of printing children’s drawings on T-shirts came to me naturally—from my life with my kids. I’m a mom of two boys, and we love to draw! At some point, I realized that children’s drawings aren’t just doodles; they are real works of art, full of emotions, imagination, and a unique perspective on the world.
It made me sad to think that many of these drawings just stay on paper or get lost over time. That’s when I thought—what if we could turn them into something more lasting? That’s how the idea of printing children’s masterpieces on clothing was born, so parents and kids could wear them with pride.
I knew this was a valuable idea because it combines two important things—creativity and memories. This isn’t just a T-shirt; it’s emotions captured in fabric. The ability to create a unique and meaningful gift for parents, grandparents, or simply to preserve a piece of childhood is what makes this project special.
I introduced a new approach—printing not just drawings but treasured memories that can be worn every day. And what excites me the most is seeing how happy kids are when they see their own artwork on a real T-shirt—their pride is priceless!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
Currently, I sell through Etsy, where I launched my shop EmbroSketchArt. For me, this was the best option to start with because Etsy already has a large audience looking for unique, handmade, and custom products.
Pros of Etsy:
✔ Built-in customer base – I don’t have to attract an audience from scratch since buyers are already searching for unique products.
✔ Easy to launch – No need to develop a website; the platform is intuitive and user-friendly.
✔ Trust in the platform – Many customers prefer to shop on Etsy because it’s a well-known and reliable marketplace.
Cons of Etsy:
❌ High fees – The platform takes a percentage of sales, which reduces profit margins.
❌ Strict policies – If something goes wrong with a product or store, it’s easy to get warnings or even a suspension.
❌ High competition – Since there are many sellers, it’s important to work on product uniqueness and marketing.
In the future, I plan to expand and create my own website to have more control over my brand and pricing. But for now, Etsy is a great tool for starting and testing demand.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I believe that trust and connection with customers are the foundation of brand loyalty, so I actively engage with my audience on multiple levels.
1. Personalized approach – Every order is special to me, and I pay close attention to details. For example, I include thank-you notes or help adapt children’s drawings for printing to ensure the final result is perfect.
2. Openness and communication – I stay in touch with customers through messages on Etsy and social media, always responding promptly and taking their preferences into account.
3. Customer feedback – Hearing my customers’ opinions is important to me, so I always appreciate reviews and share them on my social media, building a community of people who value their children’s creativity.
4. Social media engagement – Through Instagram and other platforms, I share the process of creating orders, inspire my audience, and showcase real examples of our products, fostering a sense of involvement.
5. Bonuses and repeat orders – I deeply appreciate returning customers, so I occasionally offer special deals, discounts on repeat orders, and exclusive designs.
My goal is not just to sell products but to create a warm and meaningful experience where customers feel that their stories and memories truly matter.
