We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Anna Dolce. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Anna below.
Anna, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. It’s easy to look at a business or industry as an outsider and assume it’s super profitable – but we’ve seen over and over again in our conversation with folks that most industries have factors that make profitability a challenge. What’s biggest challenge to profitability in your industry?
I coach leaders in various industries. The biggest challenge they all share is putting their people (employees and customers) ahead of their process and their profits. Many leaders claim that they operate their businesses by focusing on their people first, but seldom this is actually done.
I am big believer that prioritizing people is what produces highest profits and overall success and growth in any business.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My entrepreneurial journey started at the age of 17 in my home country of Georgia, Europe. My first business was a talent and modeling agency and later a consulting business. By the age of 18 I held 2 national titles of Miss Georgia and was nominated as a Business Mind Of The Year.
Since then, I relocated to USA and entered the hospitality industry as a bartender in NYC. I was quickly promoted to a managing partner role and ran several venues before co-owning a restaurant-lounge in Brooklyn NY. After closing my restaurant couple of years later, I moved to South Florida and worked for a local restaurant company as the youngest General Manager and multiunit leader. I also helped open multiple restaurants and nightclubs as an independent consultant.
For the past 9 years leveraging my background in hospitality, entrepreneurship and show business I am a business and personal coach for entrepreneurs, business executives and prominent artists who want to solve their most complex challenges and achieve their most ambitious goals.
I also speak at major corporations and industry shows and on the topics of leadership, organizational culture and entrepreneurship.
My TEDx talk “Service Isn’t Hospitality” has been one of the most watched talks about hospitality and is a part of the curriculum in many universities around the world.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Best source of new clients for me has been me building genuine relationships with people. My business model has been to meet fun and interesting people and nurture those relationships. Many of those people have turned into clients who I coach around their business and personal lives.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
I work with business leaders on creating a hospitality culture in their organizations regardless of the field they are in.
The main element of creating and maintaining a high morale in any team is putting people (employees and customers) above company profits and performance metrics. It may sound counterintuitive, but focusing on money or performance often undermines and sacrifices the biggest asset a company has, their people. People are the ones driving results. If you run your business by putting your people first, they in turn will help you achieve your business goals.
