Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Anna Christina . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Anna thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Are you happier as a creative? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job? Can you talk to us about how you think through these emotions?
I absolutely love what I do! As a versatile Music Artist, being able to network and work with so many different people, create, and then share with the world is pretty awesome! I’d say that I’m pretty content as a Music Artist! I do have a regular job as well. Being an independent Music Artist does cost a little so having a few side hustles helps with that. Hopefully soon I’ll be able to transition into a full-time Music Artist!
Anna , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m an independent, versatile, Music Artist from South Texas. I write, I sing, I rap, I get on stage, I bring it! I’m an Entertainer. And I love it! I’ve been doing Music for years now. Ever since I was little I’ve wanted to perform, to sing and rap on stage. Just do my thing! I started out with Poetry. Writing poems in my Lisa Frank spiral notebook transitioned into lyrics jotted down in a black composition notebook. After that was history. Music is definitely my passion, I’ll always create and hone my craft, until I’m unable to physically do it. What sets me apart from other Music Artists, is the music I create. Different genres. Being able to deliver mixed sounds, to write my own material, to sing, and rap is a rarity. I’m blessed and I’m proud to say that I’ve always dreamed of being where I’m at today. I’ve accomplished a lot over the years and I’m still achieving more!
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
I think for non-creatives, it’s hard to understand that as an independent Music Artist, creating something so complex like music takes time. Like, It’s really cool when someone who listens to your music asks when you’re going to drop another song, but then you have those who want you to constantly show face, and “put out”. And no matter what you do, you’re not doing enough and they want more. And that’s all good because I deliver, but creating something like music takes time. There’s teamwork that’s involved and everyone moves at their own pace! You can’t rush greatness.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building your own audience is easy! Just be yourself and be consistent. I will say though, staying consistent is harder said than done! There are days when you just don’t feel like posting, sometimes weeks where you just don’t feel like being on any socials. Don’t beat yourself up about it. Everyone goes through it. Just don’t forget to remember your followers! They believe in you!
