We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Anna a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Anna, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was deciding to pause my practice and step back from visibility when interest in my work was at its peak. I had established a strong presence by curating an exclusive practice that only worked with a select group of clients.
However, behind the scenes, I came to realize that I wasn’t fully aligned with the direction I wanted my work to take. While I wasn’t actively accepting new clients, it wasn’t because I didn’t want to — I knew I needed time to redefine my offerings and deepen my focus.
So, I decided to step away from the familiar and begin rebranding under Therapeutic Awakening to reflect a more intuitive, holistic approach to healing. I’m reshaping my practice to better align with the work I feel called to offer — not just physical touch, but a deeper, soul-centered healing experience.
I’m in the process of seeking a new location that will support this next chapter of growth and expansion. It wasn’t an easy decision, but it has proven to be one of the most empowering choices I’ve made.

Anna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m the founder of Therapeutic Awakening, a brand rooted in healing and wellness. My journey began with a strong passion for supporting others through intentional care and touch. Over time, I felt called to expand my practice, so I began to shift towards offering a more holistic approach to healing that nurtures both the body and the spirit. My work now focuses on creating deeply healing experiences that support emotional, physical, and energetic release, providing clients with tailored sessions that align with their unique needs.
While I’m currently refining my focus, I’m always exploring ways to expand the offerings under Therapeutic Awakening, including bringing back body care products in the future. My priority is ensuring that everything I create is in harmony with the deeper, transformative work I’m providing through my healing services.
What sets me apart is the intuitive and individualized approach I take in every session. Clients come to me not just for physical relief, but for a deeper connection and healing that goes beyond the surface. I believe in creating a safe, grounded space where people can truly awaken to their higher selves.
What I’m most proud of is the trust and transformation I’ve been able to build with my clients. The opportunity to guide people in their healing journeys is truly humbling, and it’s what fuels my passion to continue evolving both my practice and my brand.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the biggest lessons I had to unlearn was the idea that doing it all myself equaled success. In the healing space, I took pride in being hands-on with every part of my brand—formulating products, managing bookings, and creating content. Unfortunately, that mindset quietly led to burnout. I believed self-sufficiency made me more authentic, when in reality, it blocked the flow of support I deeply needed.
The turning point came when I realized that expansion doesn’t require overextension. I had to release control, trust others, and allow help, so I could protect the energy I pour into my clients and creations. As I leaned into the unknown, I also began to trust the process and myself more. Letting go of the need for certainty allowed the most authentic parts of my journey to unfold naturally.
The real lesson? Perfection doesn’t lead to growth—action does. The right steps often appear after you move, not before. Today, I move with more trust, more ease, and a deeper openness to the journey rather than the destination.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
In addition to training and knowledge, I believe the most important qualities for success in my field are intuition, empathy, and the ability to hold space. In healing work, it’s not just about understanding techniques or having the right skills; it’s about connecting with people on a deeper level. You need to intuitively grasp what a client needs, even when they may struggle to articulate it. This requires being present, listening deeply, and creating a safe space where they feel comfortable opening up and receiving healing.
Empathy is also essential. Understanding and truly feeling what your clients are experiencing helps you approach them with compassion and without judgment. This creates a bond of trust that is critical to the healing process.
Moreover, the ability to hold space is incredibly important. Healing can be emotional, vulnerable, and intense. You must be able to offer support while respecting a client’s boundaries and energy. Presence matters here—the ability to be grounded and fully available to guide others through their journey without pushing them too quickly or too hard.
Ultimately, success in this field comes from aligning your skills with your intuition and heart. When you combine these elements, you create an environment that fosters true transformation and lasting impact.
