Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Anita Tak. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Anita thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
Hi, I’m Anita! Besides my full-time job as a graphic & web designer, I also recently started an online store, ShopCozy.

The essence I’m hoping to capture in my designs are those of casual comfort, while expressing a stylish flair!
I enjoy cozy things. And I know a lot of people do as well! There is just something special about appreciating the comfort that surrounds us, even in the little ways. Whether it’s taking a stroll through a park…having some time to journal and process our emotions and thoughts…or taking some time to talk with family and friends…comfort is around us, even if we’re sometimes too busy to notice it.
We need to remind ourselves to relax and unwind. Kind of like the thought of coming home after a long day’s work, and changing out of our “work clothes” and into our “cozy clothes”. Having some fun, casual outfits to work out in, or when meeting up with friends.
ShopCozy is a side-hobby. Though my shop only has a few products at the moment, my plan is to keep creating designs in some of my spare time…with the hope of capturing that “cozy’ feeling! Products also include journals, backpacks, and phone covers!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Growing up, I was always drawn to the idea of creativity. I was one of those kids with a big imagination. I loved to draw and write stories. My favorite subject in high school was art; I also took a bunch of design courses in college and loved it!
I officially started my design career when I was 20, while I was still in college at the time. I received my Bachelor’s in Graphic Design and Digital Media from CBU in 2017. I am 28 and time really does fly! I have been in the design field for 8 years now.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Yes! It’s the goal of creating designs that people can positively remember. I hope to make a difference. Everyone has unique skills, personalities, and abilities. And I believe that everyone is here for a reason. As a creative person, the goal is not only being passionate about design, but also creating a meaningful experience between the audience and the mission that the design is representing.
I feel so grateful to pursue a career that I’m passionate about, and I hope that every person can positively pursue their passion as well!
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
I think one of the most exciting experiences of being an artist is when the finished project looks exactly how you pictured it in your mind! When you look at the design and think to yourself, “Yes, that’s what I hoped to create. That’s what I was going for.”
And it’s so nice when people recognize that and value the work. When they can recognize your specific style and want to see more. I’m so appreciative of that support and encouragement from people! Thank you!
