Aniko, appreciate you joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
As a successful entrepreneur, you have to be passionate about what you love to turn your dreams into reality. You cannot be afraid of taking risks, have good planning, organization skills and always believe in yourself. You have to invest a lot of hours into your business at first to get started and most people underestimate the dedication that goes into it. Once you realize that, your business will expand and grow each and every day a little bit more and you see success in the long run.

Aniko, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Aniko and I am the face behind OkinasArt. The name OkinasArt was born when I used to paint and always signed my name on the paintings backwards. I loved the uniqueness and continued using it for my jewelry business. I grew my passion for wire wrapped jewelry 5 1/2 years ago and was fortunate enough to turn my passion into a successful business 3 years ago which blurs the line between work and play. I personally select all stones for my creations from an inner love that sets my creativity in motion. This connection to each stone becomes the energy and expression of design for each one-of-a-kind creation. It captivates me to design jewelry that expresses my deep passion for each piece
Creating unique jewelry that are meaningful and sentimental to my customers is very important to me.
It can tell a personal story and is not always something you wear for fun and fashion, but you wear it with your heart and is therefore setting me apart from other wire wrap artists.
Being able to design handmade, wearable art every day and having happy, returning customers over many years, is something I am very proud of. Yes, it is easy to making a sale, but having a strong referral base and a high satisfaction rate for the products I design throughout the years is something you need to work hard for and earn.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
You have to be very engaging with your customers and make everyone feel equally special. Providing continuous, great quality products, staying connected through social media and responding to e-mails has helped me over the years to grow my business, reach potential new customers and most importantly, have a strong word of mouth referral base.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Gaining a lot of followers on social media organically takes time, effort and patience. Start your own page and engage in other similar groups that are related to your service. Introduce yourself in new groups and most importantly, keep it unique and genuine. Posting once or twice a day on your own page with a good photo of your product and keeping it fun so others want to engage is very important. Ask questions, make suggestions, but most importantly, respond to comments on your own page.
