Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Aniah Morrison. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Aniah, thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Touch Of Love Cleaning Co. was created to help people.
For a long time I battled with depression and my life was basically circling the drain, I was unable to help myself or even have the energy to perform basic functions some days but thanks to God I was able to pull myself out of that and create something beautiful from my experiences.
My mission with this business is to literally add a Touch Of Love back into people’s lives by helping them clear up some of that stress and what better way to do that then to come home to a nice clean house.

Aniah, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
This Business was handpicked for me by God, literally!
I originally wanted to start a cooking business first but I also wanted to help people. I was contemplating cleaning but wasn’t sure if I wanted to do it as a full time business but my mom came home one day and was like “You should start a cleaning service.” and it was the confirmation I needed out loud because I had never said anything about it to her and thus Touch Of Love Cleaning Co. was born.
I provide affordable and efficient cleaning at a very reasonable price and what sets my business apart from other cleaning services is I do for my customers and not for the money. So many people have told me to increase my prices but I don’t want to, my love for servicing others is what fuels my business not money or profit.
When it comes to my clients I love to make things easily accessible to them or just provide an extra step that they don’t have to think about like placing their favorite shoes by the door or taking out the trash for them, etc.
I want my clients to know that they come first and that I’m simply here to help them, my work speaks for itself.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
When I first started this business I was sleeping on the floor.
I would get up, get my brother settled on his school stuff, and make my plans for the day.
Whenever I had clients I would be up bright and early with my brother in tow and I’d go clean while he did his schoolwork, come home cook dinner and then work on stuff for the next day.
That’s how dedicated I was to getting this business off the ground.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
After a while I slowed down because depression started creeping in again and I started to lose faith in myself.
For about a month I was stagnant because I’m the type of woman who likes to see instant gratification and although I was experiencing that in the beginning, when it slowed down I assumed I wasn’t doing well enough and it started to affect me and my business so I went to God.
Back to the source so to speak and I had to pivot my thinking into “Delayed does not mean denied” and as a new business owner, everything isn’t always going to go perfect so you have to do your best to keep your own motivation and morale up.
