We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Angelo Wyatt a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Angelo, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
The mission behind Boise After Dark started back in 2010 as a featured mix show known simply as After Dark on another online radio station in Southern California as an outlet for me to exhibit my passion for House music, giving local unknown artists a chance to be heard. In 2018 After Dark went from being a featured program to it’s own online station Boise After Dark in the Gem State of Idaho with the same goal of giving not just local, but up and coming artists and remixers from all over the world a chance to share their original mixes, edits and remixes with a larger audience broadcasting 24 hours 7 days a week. In 2020 we started adding weekly programs with live DJs and hosts giving DJs the same opportunity and share their passion for DJing on a larger scale. Over the last few years Boise After Dark has grown from not just House music, but all the different genres of EDM and EBM expanding our audience to a much larger reach.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Music has always been my passion and I’ve been involved with the music industry, both mainstream and underground for the past 27 years. Whether it’d be on the front lines or behind the scenes, music has always been a big part of my life. I started DJing at the young age of 14 playing at local underground events and night clubs across Southern California with friends and eventually worked my way to DJing on local radio stations throughout the Southland. Aside of DJing, I also started producing and remixing music in 1998 under different aliases until 2005 when I chose to stick with The Original SiNNeR Angelo as my main stage name which I have been using since then as an open format DJ and producer. I never really categorized myself as a specific type of producer, artist or DJ because what I’ve learned throughout the many years of my career is that if you want to survive in the music business, you have to be able to adapt to all the changes that the industry goes through. And it’s these views on the industry that help make my DJ sets such a unique and amazing experience. Being a multi-genre DJ, I’ve picked up on a number of different techniques over the many years of my career from friends and other DJ favorites like Richard Vission, Bad Boy Bill, DJ Vice and Fatboy Silm that I like to incorporate into my sets, no matter what style or genre of music I’m is playing.
Aside of releasing music or other production work as The Original SiNNeR Angelo, I also has Four other music projects that I’m working under.
Projects :
1) Blaq Dot est. 2011
2) Techno Zombie est. 2019
3) 1 member of The House Sindicate est. 2021
4) MYkoh WYit est. 2022

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Although I have a long history in the music industry, I had a set back in 2016 that sidelined my career as a DJ and producer. I was unfortunately diagnosed with multiple forms of autoimmune issues that have prevented me from being able to actively travel and be a club DJ. Therefore, I have turned to starting Boise After Dark as a means of still being able to continue my passion for DJing and producing music.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
In 2019 while working at a bar in Idaho, I met my now business partner, James Keebaugh (aka DJ DoZeR). We just happened to be two misfits that somehow clicked. At this point in time, Boise After Dark was already up and fully functioning and in need of programming so I approached him about co-hosting a few episodes of our now 3 year running show, NightLife together to see how things would click and after we got comfortable with our chemisty, I pushed him to become a DJ and a music producer. I literally threw him under the bus into this by telling our live audience that he would be DJing on our New Year’s Special and then the following week I would add to the stipulation that he would be debuting two original tracks that he produced. From there we have been working side by side, nonstop, always producing and DJing together. We even launched an indie label in 2022 called Sin”O”Matic Records which features artists discovered through Boise After Dark. James is not only a business partner, but also my best friend, 2nd to my wife of course.
