We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Angelo Ednacot. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Angelo below.
Alright, Angelo thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you tell us the backstory behind how you came up with the idea?
From what began as a childhood dream, I always felt I had a rooted aspiration for being a creative. Whether it was taking art classes in elementary school or observing the movies I viewed with my family as a kid, there was that sense of imagination that came with it. I grew my passion for artistry as time went on, while also building my admiration for the sport of basketball. Fast forward to my first semester of community college, I wanted to venture out and explore this side further. This assured choice led to purchasing a second-hand DSLR camera. There was a slight period after learning the fundamentals of operating a camera where I transitioned my outlook to a more serious approach. Along envisioning as to how I could potentially bridge creative production and basketball, a small spark fueled the start of my journey.

Angelo, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Based in the city of Las Vegas, I am a professional photographer and videographer that specializes in multiple fields that consist of athletics, live events, and lifestyle. Having been fully committed as a creative for more than a year, I take joy in documenting and storytelling as a whole. Providing creative services for clients allow me to help bring their ideas to life and ultimately execute the vision they may have in mind.
While it is extremely difficult to pinpoint a moment that I am most proud of, I am more than grateful and honored to have captured on a stage like the WNBA semifinals, film NBA players and coaches that I grew up watching, and create for a Lids campaign. Being there for those treasured moments truly means a lot, and I find them hard to believe at times. There are others to name, however I hope to continue that list as time goes on.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Among my long-term goals, I aim to discover as many ways as I can find to grow as a creative. Whether that is consuming works of film, reading books that may be relatable, or learning from other creatives, these outlets are open sources for education. Principally, I look to never take a learning opportunity for granted, and so always carrying an open mind for knowledge is a mission that sticks with me.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Staying true to yourself goes a long way. Whenever you stray away from authenticity, you can lose sight of what is important. This conception is a major key that I would express heavily, along with being patient throughout the course. Everyone’s timeline is different, and so you have to allow yourself to make the most out of what you have in the present. Continue to capture those moments. Continue to share your work and connect with others. Continue to become 1% better each day.
