Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Angelo and Gracie Felix. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Angelo and Gracie , thanks for joining us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?

Hey, thanks for having us!

We both grew up watching both sets of parents start and manage their businesses. Even though we were both very young, we always noticed their hard work ethic, the ups and downs of them managing their businesses, and the benefits of them owning their own company. We noticed that even though it seemed like they were working around the clock, they were always doing it with a positive attitude because they were doing what they genuinely loved in life.

One thing that stood out to Angelo about his parents were that they both always did their best work. Angelo`s dad owned his own handy man business. As he was growing up, Angelo would sometimes go to work with his dad over the summers and he always noticed that his dad would not want go home until the job was completed the right way. That’s why Angelo’s dad never struggled to find work, because most people in the handy man industry were not doing jobs to the best of their ability. He noticed that in his dad, and he decided to carry that into our own business now, Felix Wedding Films.

As I (Gracie) watched my own parents running their businesses, they unintentionally taught me about the importance of great client interactions and customer service. I was able to see them dealing with easy and difficult clients. When they had trouble with hard-to-please clients, their top priority was to give them great service, even if this meant going above and beyond what they were hired to do. I see this now unfolding in our business. Our priority is our clients. When they are happy, we are happy, and I’m thankful to have learned that from my parents.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?

Angelo first started Felix Wedding Films a few years back, and I (Gracie) joined along once we got married. Angelo has had a passion for photo and video since he was a kid, and he helped open my eyes to the joy that it is to capture weddings. We have been running Felix Wedding Films for 2 years and we have absolutely loved capturing love. The first wedding that I filmed with Angelo hooked me. It’s hard to explain just how amazing it is that our job is to capture love and curate a film for our couples to watch and relive their day for years to come.

Angelo and I are both followers of Jesus and seek to love people the way He does. Because of this, we are able to see the value in each person, which helps us love and serve them well. God tells us in Colossians 3:24 to work hard at what we do, as if working for God. That is why we pour our heart and soul into the films we create for our clients since we know that doing this is honoring of them and glorifying to God.

We have been growing a lot and have added Alex, an awesome filmmaker and editor to our team. We are consistently expanding and foresee adding more members to the Felix Wedding Films team!

We’d love to hear about you met your business partner.

Angelo and I (Gracie) actually met back in high school, but didn’t start dating until after graduating from college. That’s a long story for another day. When we got married, we both started working together on Felix Wedding Films, and our team just continues to grow.

Angelo has been friends with Alex since elementary school and I met him in high school. As we were growing Felix Wedding Films, we felt God leading us to ask Alex to be a part of the team. It wasn’t anything that we ever thought of or planned, but everything just fell into place. Now we can’t imagine being any less than a team of 3.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

We truly love what we do and care for our clients. This isn’t just a job or money for us. I believe this is what sets us apart from others. For me, I always get so excited when we have calls with potential clients, because I really love the service that we provide to them. I know that what we do is extremely valuable and will preserve one of the most important memories for them, which is their wedding day.
