We were lucky to catch up with Angelisha Jospeh recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Angelisha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I remeber my mother was working three jobs to make ends meet and it was killing me that she was working so hard! I had always had the talent to sing but one day I was in the shower and aI hit a note and I knew that I could change my families lives with my voice. at that moment I knew I could do something with my talents.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
So I’m in the Navy and I make music and its like a Hanna Montana type of lifestyle. Travel and sing and I travel for the military. Sometimes its a lot to balance but I’m always able to do so. I make relatable music. I make music that lets people know what they arent alone. I’m so proud that I’ve never given up on my dream. It can be alot at times but I know I’m blessed and I want to share my blessing with the world.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding thing about being an artist is hearing people sing along as I sing! its a beaitiful thing, knowing that someone is listening to me and enjoying my lyrics and voice. Its such a heartwarming feeling
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I had to learn that everyone elses journey isnt my own. Sometimes I would feel discouraged if something wasnt happening for me in my journey and it was happening to someone in my circle but we live two diffrent lives. We’re two diffrent people who live two diffrent lives. I know I’ll be sucessful and I want everyone around me to be sucessful as well.
