We were lucky to catch up with Angelique W recently and have shared our conversation below.
Angelique, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
One of the biggest risks I’ve ever taken was moving to California. Ever since I was little I always knew I eventually wanted to live in Los Angeles and chase my dreams. So in 2014 I told my mom I was leaving, packed my bags, and hit the road to drive 3000 miles west from New Jersey. Leaving my family and friends behind was incredibly difficult, but I felt in my heart it was the right step for me. I knew no one, had no job lined up, and barely had any money. I was able to get a cheap little studio apartment in Downtown LA, and immediately started applying for gigs and networking on social media. Over time I made connections, made mistakes, had my ups and downs, and celebrated some of my biggest accomplishments with the friends I made along the way. Now, 10 years later, I can confidently say it was the best decision I ever made. The experiences and opportunities I’ve had here have been life-changing, and I’m grateful for the journey that got me to where I am today.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
The phrase “Jack of all Trades, Master of None” really resonates with me because I feel like that’s exactly my life out here in LA. I originally started out using social media networking to do modeling work. I was hoping to meet the right people and get into acting like I really wanted. Sure enough I booked a few gigs; short films, commercial work, and indie projects. Unfortunately I learned too quickly the dark side of the industry, so I took a moment to pause and re-think my priorities. While I was deciding my plan of action for the future I started working at a startup magazine company. The opportunities were everywhere as I rubbed elbows with more and more influential figures in the business. I then took the leap to pursue another dream of mine and auditioned for Insomniac where I secured a job as a festival dancer. I traveled around SoCal performing on stage at huge events, and from there landed more gigs in Hollywood with other go-go companies. One day I got a call from a photographer friend saying that he knew someone recruiting females for another new startup he thought I’d be perfect for. I met with the team and soon enough I was streaming full time of Twitch as a live personality along with a whole house of other girls. Besides video games, I utilized my channel to explore a lot of art forms that I had passions for like art, pole dancing, yoga, and flow toys. My online life blossomed into more than I thought it ever could and pretty soon I was doing all sorts of paid social media influencing on all the apps including TikTok. It was there that I started my OnlyFans page. Not long after I also made a Fansly and was creating content daily for both platforms. I then began working on the backend for an OnlyFans agency, but after awhile learned of all their shortcomings and mistakes they were making with their talent. All my friends told me I should just start my own agency but I couldn’t even wrap my head around that so I dismissed the idea. In the meantime I helped launch a photo studio downtown by the name Haüs of JÃK with 2 other partners. Our small business took off slow but soon enough we were making some unforgettable experiences and meeting amazing artists. Little by little I still had creator friends come to me to ask if I knew of anyone to help run their exclusive pages. I took this as a sign, and my most recent venture has been managing Onlyfans/Fansly pages. I’m excited to see where it goes, and hopefully after I sign a few more models I can officially start constructing my own agency! “If you want something done right, do it yourself!”
I’m so proud of everything I’ve accomplished in the past 10 years and I can’t wait to see where I am in another 10 from now. Adapt and overcome…there are endless doors just waiting to be opened.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Definitely the impact you have on people. Over the years I’ve had countless fans and followers send me cards, letters, gifts, etc. all expressing how I’ve helped them in some way. Whether it was making them smile while they were watching one of my Twitch streams on a bad day, or maybe inspiring a fellow young creative on the start of their artistic journey with one of my Instagram posts. No matter what it was I can’t tell you how much I appreciated it, and still do to this day. Even as a dancer at festivals I’ve hugged people as they’ve cried. You can’t explain moments like that. Even the words I’m writing right now don’t do it justice, but it’s memories that I’ll carry with me forever. Creating for others to enjoy, for them to escape and just to feel..that’s the most rewarding.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I don’t have a definitive goal or mission but I do know that in the past few years I’ve been thinking more and more about finding a way to use my influence in the industry for good, specifically for the environment and animals. Due to some unfortunate circumstances regarding the health of family members, I’ve really taken a deep dive into my own health, which then led to learning more about being eco-friendly for my household and for the benefit of the planet. Circle of life as The Lion King says haha, we’re all connected and we need to start living as such with that mindset so we can mold our world into a better future. I know that sometime soon I’ll figure out my calling and what I need to do!
