We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Angelique Ramirez a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Angelique, thanks for joining us today. Do you think folks should manage their own social media or hire a professional? What do you do?

My business is ran fully by me! I am a stay at home mom and I strive for my small business to succeed so I am always posting pictures and videos of all my creations!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

My name is Angelique ramirez but my family calls me linky! That is where the name linky’s party creations came from! It all started with my family they always asked me to put together their garlands for birthdays and make special centerpieces ever since then I created my page and keep making new creations. I not only make balloon garlands and backdrops but a variety of assorted party creations I can make anything from centerpieces, custom stickers and t-shirts for any event! My motto is if you can think of it I can create it!

Being a creator has it’s ups and downs there will always be people who don’t believe you will advance in your career but the key is just to ignore them and just keep moving forward. The best part of this business is there is always something new to create there hasn’t been a time where things die down and when new opportunities comes in all you have to do is jump for them whether you are scared to do it or even just nervous to move to the next level you always gain experience along the way!

Has your business ever had a near-death moment? Would you mind sharing the story?

There are always highs and lows in this business so the key is to keep making new creations post them and hope for the best! Even when I ran out of content to post didn’t receive any orders for a while I still kept investing in my business. After I was finally able to advance forward I started posting new creations and that made my business move forward. You can never lose hope or faith in yourself or your business all you can do is keep going!
