Angelique , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

I’m a Entrepreneur a Mom and a Wife ,I’m the owner of Vanitiez Shop and Spa “Home of The Soul Food Boss were I specialize in Beauty Fashion Food and Shoess!!!!! One stop shop for all your needs,Im also a Author of My first Autobiography” Crying is a Weakness”being a teen Mom I decided to get my Ged and go to hair school at 16 shortly after that I worked in local hair salons and shops in the Boston Massachusetts Area by 25 I had a brain stroke and had to learn how to walk again ,at that time I’m thinking there’s no way I will be able to stand and do hair anymore after about 2years of recovery I started working in the health care field were I did home care for seniors still doing hair here and there but just making money to pay bills after leaving health care because now im a mom of 5 and my kids needed me more than anything I decided to do Hair full time also retrieving my eyelash certification and adding a shopping boutique onto my services and days that it was slow I would do lyft or anything legal to make sure my boys were fed and a roof over there heads cause being a mom of 6 with no resource is not easy so I always keep my eyes on God and the Dollar!

Angelique , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I was able to access all my talents that God gave me by being discipline and obedient, I didn’t know what I wanted to be all my life because it’s the enemies Job to hide you destiny from you so for along time i wasn’t living my full purpose I was living for the world and what others wanted me to be now I’m living my purpose through God and its Amazing every step I take is Ordained by God and I’m nothing without Him I give myself credit for being a vessel God can Use on earth that’s it !

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?

Summer of 2018 I had just lost my house and was determined to never let this happen again I was tired if living in the same cycles over and over and my kids was getting older so I took my last 200 dollars and brought a whole bunch of white t shirts took them to a old friend who used to print she printed all my designs because I had had so much designs created in a night once everything was printed I went outside my shelter and started selling them t shirts to everyone I didn’t care who knew my situation I just wanted to start living my purpose and that’s how it all started with 200 dollars !then after gaining enough revenue to move out the shelter the pandemic hit and I used the money from Vanitiez clothing to fund Vanitiez Soul Food Boss !

Okay – so how did you figure out the manufacturing part? Did you have prior experience?

I do not manufacturer my manufacturers dealing are currently in Italy , I work with 3 manufacturers in Italy and hold a very great relationship.with them all im currently in the process of doing some things in other countries also right now ,I have had a wonderful experience with manufacturing everything is always done to perfection from start to finish and I’m grateful!They all know I have children and I can’t do big big order and have all looked out for me in such a big ways to make my business thrive!
