We recently connected with Angelicca Cecere and have shared our conversation below.
Angelicca, appreciate you joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
Starting my own business was a risk I never saw coming. I’ve always had a deep passion for wellness and fitness, but becoming a business owner wasn’t something I had ever planned for. In fact, I used to think I would never be suited for the traditional workforce, so this was a huge unforeseen blessing. The turning point came when I began sharing my flexibility and mobility training on social media. People started reaching out to me, asking for advice, tips, and personal coaching. I quickly realized there was a real demand for my expertise, and it made me rethink what I could offer to the world.
The decision to dive into entrepreneurship was terrifying. I wasn’t prepared for the constant juggling of responsibilities, the emotional rollercoaster, or the level of commitment it would require. There were days I felt completely drained, moments when I wondered if it was worth it, and even times when it felt like everything was falling apart. My former business partner and I parted ways, leaving me to rebuild from scratch. There were personal failures, mounting debt, and moments of intense self-doubt. But there were also incredible highs—the satisfaction of creating something from the ground up, watching people’s lives transform, and seeing my brand take shape in a way I’d never imagined.
Despite all the challenges, I knew I was on the right path. The business wasn’t just a way to make money; it became my calling, and it pulled me in even when I wanted to quit. I’ve learned so much about myself in the process—how resilient I am, how capable I am of pushing through adversity. Looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing. The risk I took by starting my own business has, in many ways, saved me. It’s been exhausting, humbling, and incredibly rewarding all at once. I’m grateful for the path that chose me, and I’d take that risk a thousand times over.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m someone who’s deeply passionate about movement and staying strong for life. The Flexout Method was born from that love. I’ve been a professional dancer since my teenage years, training across the U.S. and Europe. Growing up in Minnesota, I had to get creative after high school to maintain my body and skills, so I developed my own unique blend of ballet, yoga, and bodyweight workouts. I trained myself this way privately for years — and when I finally shared my personal results online, it gained a lot of traction. That momentum transformed The Flexout Method into the thriving business it is today.
What sets The FlexOut Method apart is how it blends movement, mindset, and media to create a holistic, empowering approach to wellness. Our community jokes that I’m “superhuman” because I’m always pushing my limits and uncovering hidden talents. This comes from my commitment to blending high- and low-impact movements that drive rapid physical evolution while minimizing injury.
My background in Leadership Studies has also shaped my teaching and coaching style. I incorporate those principles into everything I do — helping clients build mental resilience and approach their wellness journey with a growth mindset.
We offer a variety of ways for people to experience The FlexOut Method, including our FLEXOUT Mind-Body Stretching Program, live virtual classes, in-person workshops, and one-on-one coaching. We’ve also recently launched The FlexOut Experience — an immersive, high-energy event that combines music, movement, and connection in a way that leaves people inspired and energized.
Music is a big part of my creative expression, and I’ve found ways to integrate it into my work. I’ve created custom binaural beats to enhance focus and relaxation in my courses and even produce original music for my marketing campaigns to elevate the overall experience.
At the heart of it all, I’m most proud of the incredible community we’ve built. Seeing people transform — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally — is what keeps me inspired. My mission is to make wellness accessible, empowering, and fun, while using innovative, tech-driven solutions to help people unlock their full potential.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I’ve always felt like I’m in a constant state of evolution—there’s always something to refine, tweak, or improve. But nothing was quite as transformative as the pivot I faced after losing my business partner. It felt like starting over from scratch, and there were moments when I seriously considered walking away. Suddenly, I found myself carrying the weight of everything—managing the business alone, emotionally and mentally. It was overwhelming.
There were days when it seemed like everything was falling apart, during those times, I grappled with a deep sense of isolation, imposter syndrome and uncertainty, questioning whether I could keep going. Mentally and emotionally, it was exhausting. Yet, through the toughest moments, I was reminded that true growth often emerges from adversity, and I chose to move forward.
The hardest moments are often the ones that lead to the biggest breakthroughs. I made the conscious decision to turn inward—reconnect with my art, and focus on my personal growth. For years, I poured so much of myself into building The Flexout Method that I was hiding behind my business. But just last month, I released my music for the first time — a huge milestone that felt like reclaiming a part of myself. The song is called LMOL “Love me out Loud” and it’s become the anthem of my life ever since. It’s a reflection of the journey I’ve been on, stepping out from behind my business and embracing every part of who I am. I’ve linked it below if you’re curious to experience a fresh, new genre I call Afro-Country Soul.
Suddenly, opportunities began to flow—key meetings, important calls, and exciting collaborations that reignited my sense of purpose on a deeper level.
This journey has been nothing short of transformative. Now, I’m more energized and motivated than ever to share what’s next. The lesson? The greatest breakthroughs often come from the hardest challenges. And this is just the beginning.

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
To manage a team and maintain high morale, focus on transparency, adaptability, and recognition. Communicate openly about both successes and challenges to build trust. Lead by example in embracing change, helping your team stay resilient through tough times. Recognize achievements to keep everyone motivated, and encourage a growth mindset, so setbacks become opportunities. Lastly, you must completely forgo people-pleasing if you want to be a successful business owner. Recognize when someone isn’t fully invested or doing their best, and cut ties quickly. Don’t wait for someone else to believe in your vision or decide if they’re fully committed. If they’re not on board, make the tough decisions quickly to keep your team aligned and prevent setbacks. Your vision is too important to put on hold and it’s YOUR vision for a reason.
