We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Angeles G a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Angeles, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s kick things off with talking about how you serve the underserved, because in our view this is one of the most important things the small business community does for society – by serving those who the giant corporations ignore, small business helps create a more inclusive and just world for all of us.

“For if a man wearing a gold ring and fine clothing comes into your assembly, and a poor man in shabby clothing also comes in,and if you pay attention to the one who wears the fine clothing and say, “You sit here in a good place,” while you say to the poor man, “You stand over there,” or, “Sit down at my feet, have you not then made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?” James 2:2-4.

One of the most important things to remember while is that EVERYONE is worthy to serve no matter how they appear.

Angeles, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Angeles. I am born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I help people sell and buy homes. I began in the home industry as a residential home cleaner, and quickly realized my calling was in to be in the realtor industry. I give glory to God for all he has done in my life. I come from a background of addiction, depression, and anxiety. When I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ, my life changed forever. I hope that whoever reads this knows that God created you for a purpose, and he loves you so much.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

When I was 17 years old, I began reading books on eastern traditions, meditations, and new age. I was collecting crystals, reading about chakras, doing tarot cards, dabbling with horoscopes, and learning about “manifestation.” After some years I had everything I wanted, but little did I know that it would come with a price. I had lost all sense of peace, I was living in a daze, and I was experiencing some terrifying things at night in my home. Many people do not know this, but when you dabble with these things, you are actually opening a portal for demons to enter your life. Demons work for the devil, and he comes disguised as an angel of light. I knew something had to change in my life so I repented of these things and gave my life to Jesus Christ and my life changed forever! He FREELY gave his life so we could have forgiveness of sins, and live a life abundantly.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?

I began in the skincare business in 2018. I used to make my own products by hand and sell them at local markets. It was successful for 2 years but I realized that it was not my calling. I quickly realized I had a passion for cleaning so I became a residential home cleaner. This then led me to begin my career in real estate.
