We recently connected with Angela Rolnick and have shared our conversation below.
Angela, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start big picture – what are some of biggest trends you are seeing in your industry?
The biggest trend I’m seeing is this exciting push and pull between AI efficiency and human connection. It’s like a dance! On one side, AI is automating tasks, boosting productivity, and even predicting what customers want. Imagine a small business owner who used to spend hours scheduling social media posts. Now, AI tools can do that in minutes, freeing them up to connect with customers directly.
But here’s the twist: as AI gets smarter, people crave that genuine human touch even more. Think about it – would you rather get a generic email blast or a personalized message from someone who actually understands your needs?
That’s why businesses are finding creative ways to blend AI with human interaction. They’re using AI to personalize customer experiences, but also making sure their team is front and center, building relationships and offering that irreplaceable human touch. It’s about finding the sweet spot where AI empowers us to be more human, not less.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I started my journey in the world of corporate advertising and marketing, fascinated by how businesses connect with their audience. I spent years working with small businesses across all sorts of industries, from home service providers to restaurants.
I saw my clients struggling to keep up with the ever-changing demands of online marketing. They were so busy running their businesses, they just didn’t have the time for website updates, social media posts, email campaigns… it was exhausting! And often, they were working with different vendors for each piece of the puzzle, leading to confusion and frustration.
I realized I could make a real difference by simplifying the whole process. That’s how Creative Social Canvas was born.
I help small businesses build a strong online presence without the overwhelm. Whether it’s designing a stunning website, teaching them how to manage their social media faster and more efficiently, or how to create a newsletter they love writing each week, I’ve got them covered.
I’m passionate about empowering my clients. I take the time to explain things clearly, cut through the jargon, and help them understand the “why” behind every strategy. I want them to feel confident and in control of their online presence.
What sets me apart? I truly believe it’s that personalized approach. I take the time to get to know their business, their goals, and their challenges. Then, we work together to create a custom strategy that fits their unique needs.
I’m incredibly proud of the relationships I’ve built with my clients. Seeing them succeed online, knowing I played a part in their growth, that’s what makes it all worthwhile.
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
Atomic Habits by James Clear has been a huge influence on me! It completely changed how I think about achieving goals, both personally and professionally. The core idea that really resonated with me is that tiny changes, done consistently, can lead to remarkable results. It’s not about some massive overhaul, but those small, 1% improvements that compound over time.
This philosophy is woven into everything I do at Creative Social Canvas. I always tell my clients: “Starting and improving is always better than not starting at all.” It’s so easy to get overwhelmed by the thought of building a website, creating a social media strategy, or writing regular newsletters. But Atomic Habits taught me to break those big goals down into manageable steps.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I have a weekly newsletter, “The Canvas Chronicles,” that I send out every Tuesday morning. It’s actually become a ritual I genuinely enjoy! Every week, I curate these bite-sized nuggets of marketing wisdom – three actionable tips my clients can implement right away. But it’s more than just practical advice. I also share things I’m loving, whether it’s a new tool, an inspiring article, or even just a quote that resonated with me. And I close it out with a strategic tip to help them think bigger about their business.
I think what I love most is that it allows me to connect with my clients in a more personal way. It’s like I’m inviting them into my world, sharing my thoughts and insights, and hopefully making their week a little brighter. Plus, knowing they’re getting value from it, that they’re learning and growing… that’s incredibly rewarding.
