In August of ’23, we embarked on a rebranding journey, transitioning from AK Styles to Salty Skin + Hair. Our aim was to underscore the significance of skincare while incorporating elements inspired by the ocean. Throughout the process, I filled pages of scrap paper with numerous name ideas, searching for the perfect fit. With this transformation, I truly believe we are effectively reaching our targeted audience.

Furthermore, we leverage Honeybook’s workflow capabilities to tailor our communication with clients based on their specific project needs. In addition to our CRM system, we maintain an active newsletter to keep our followers engaged and informed. While I handle all of our marketing and social media efforts internally, and admittedly, I’m not an expert in this field, I’ve found that the clients who discover us organically through their own research often turn out to be our ideal clientele.
Platforms like Instagram have allowed us to showcase our work, share our story, and connect with potential clients in a visually engaging way. Whether it’s through captivating photos, informative captions, or behind-the-scenes glimpses of our process, social media has provided us with a powerful tool to attract and engage our target audience.
In fact, we’ve had producers and other industry professionals discover us on Instagram, leading to exciting opportunities and collaborations. This organic growth not only validates the authenticity of our brand but also reinforces the effectiveness of our social media strategy.
