We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful ANGELA HOLLOWELL-PEARL. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with ANGELA below.
ANGELA, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
I believe that YOU are already successful. Success is not a destination. It is a growing thing…. a process you’ve already begun. My purpose/mission is to challenge people to grow in success and to be an inspired version of themselves.
LEAD is A Black Sheep Brand, and we stand out by creating our lane, being US through and through, and most importantly, being DIFFERENT….. a “Limited Edition Human ™.
As Your Success Coach…
“I Believe…….”
Success is an ever-growing concept and is continually developed as you progress… success is Progressive
We all have success and should celebrate our successes and then look to grow them
No one should dictate what success looks like for you
The path to obtaining success is walked differently by every person.
Success is the pursuit of value. To obtain this, we all must start with the end in mind, “Empire View,” and develop a plan “Success Blueprint”
I Stand Against…
I stand against the concept that one coach can address all problems because we can be a jack of all trades but then a master of none. A coach’s job is to truly provide a strategy for growth and be there to guide and drive accountability.
I stand against coaching just of $$$$ because this is life transformational; if the coach has the wrong motive, it can result in more harm than good. A coach’s actions impact the participant and everyone and every aspect of their lives.
I stand against success models that do not incorporate inner work or self-awareness because the self is the root of all change. Development of a success model that does not develop the person is not sustainable change.
ANGELA, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
MEET ANGELA
What Does Success Look Like For You?
I challenge you to consider your priorities and where you would like to go. What does the destination look like? Will you get there in a two-seater Porsche (fast and with one other person)? Or will you arrive on a bus (bringing a tribe of people)? Think about that.
I’ve always prioritized my life by putting my daughters first because, at the end of the day, I want them to have ALL of the experiences. And because I’m not willing to miss any, that means free time is not as plentiful. BUT that only means
that I have to make my path work for me, not the other way around. And I make it all work. Now, don’t let my priorities make you feel anything other than amazing about your own. The takeaway is that there are many ways to get where you want to go. As long as you get there in a way that works for you…. That’s all that matters.
What challenges are you working through?
Like anyone else, there are definitely things that have slowed me down. But I’ve always been excited by challenges. Challenges are merely opportunities for improvement.
Once I knew exactly what was in my way, it became my motivation to overcome it. With that said, my biggest challenge has been perfectionism. If it’s not right, I won’t move, and things get stalled.
Eight years ago, I was introduced to John Maxwell. I saw how he impacted people and knew I wanted to be a part of it. But I needed to figure out how to make it work for me; with what I had in mind, I was unsure of how to make it my own. I started along the path. but it wasn’t until five years later that I became a John Maxwell certified coach. And even then, I sat on my certification for one year. It wasn’t until I noticed that someone close to me was acting in a way that wasn’t consistent with her potential. that I felt compelled to offer help. It pushed me out there. After one teeny taste, I was hooked.
Since I’ve gotten started, I’ve learned to push past perfectionism. I’ve taught myself to pause or slow up, but most importantly, keep going.
I’ve also faced the challenge of walking into the unknown and having no models of what I wanted to create. BUT, I had to go through the same process that I teach others to go through and was able to figure it all out.
What about you? What are some challenges that you’re facing, and how can you turn them into opportunities?
Adding Value To Someone Else Makes My Spirit Leap.
I’m elated every time I see progress and potential to grow. I mean the kind of, I can’t keep it to myself, make your soul happy elation. I LOVE helping people to walk in their purpose. Perhaps it’s because | have always walked in what I was meant to do. I’ve always applied what God gave me in business, with children, volunteering, or church. I’ve always listened to my own inner voice; rather than doing things the way, others told me to. When you walk in your purpose, and you’re doing what you love, people take notice. And that’s exactly what initially motivated me to give more thought to how I could add to the lives of others. People were attracted to what I was doing and how I did it. They saw the skill in it. I started to weave together the threads of what I was doing and what I wanted to do, and the bigger picture became clear.
Everything I’ve done, my work experience, and my training has led me to what I do today. Getting my Undergrad in Business and Project Management changed my entire world. It gave me a systematic way to approach things. My Master’s in Business Leadership and Project Management became the basis for my proprietary process. I obtained certifications from John C. Maxwell and Steven Covey and Project Management (PMP), Emotional Intelligence, Formational Healing, and Life Coaching certifications. My training, coupled with my work as a district manager -where I coach people and drive success- have all prepped me and set me up to bring the most value to the lives of my clients.
That’s my purpose, to help my clients master”Self’ so they can positively impact every area of their lives. When you feel stuck or like you’ve plateaued, I’m here to help you to the next level. And if I may leave you with one more thing, a word of encouragement, if you will.
Be authentically you and never apologize for it.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Marketing, in general, is certainly not for the faint at heart. Social media provides business owners with direct access to clients. Since being in business, I have taken courses, hired interns, and even hired two companies to do my social media strategy. Here is what I have learned, social media management is just like relationship management.
Think about the process like this…
Your ultimate goal is engagement (purchasing your product). To get there, you must build your Know… Like… Trust Factor
You must know your audience (who are you dating?)
Speak in a language that your audience understands
SHOW UP consistently for your audience
Provide content that serves a SINGLE purpose on each platform
Make sure you have an effective funnel to care for your relationship
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
To foster brand loyalty and keep in touch with clients, it is essential to have an effective marketing campaign and community entrance questions.
Capitalizing on community entrance questions gives you an inside view of how to serve your clients, and systems like email marketing enable you to accomplish this without taking up an excessive amount of time.
Email marketing is important for small businesses because it’s a marketing workhorse.
Not only does it help you to keep in touch with those that want to hear from you — keeping you top of mind — but it also allows you to educate your readers, drive traffic, conduct surveys, share updates, make announcements, etc.
I’m trying to say that email marketing allows small businesses to do many different things, all within one channel. And it still has the highest ROI of any marketing strategy or channel.
