We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Angela Hermida Rodriguez a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Angela, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Consistency. I think that’s the key. Being consistent and keep going even if you feel like it’s not going anywhere. It’s the little steps that count and what would make you closer to your goal.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
I’m a travel content creator and I share travel tips and itineraries so people can plan their trips stress-free. I include popular stops and hidden gems from different cities, specially around California but I would love to reach more countries in the future. I have always loved traveling and I wanted a place where I could share my passion. I decided to start @unfamiliar.land on IG and soon I’ll launch my blog to provide more information.
I’m proud of how far I have got with things changing all the time; COVID, IG releasing new features, TikTok, etc. It’s not always easy but at the end travel is my passion so I’ll keep doing it.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I would love to do this full time and share beautiful destinations and hotels with my community, so people can experience the same things as me and enjoy the most stunning places this world has to offer.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I try to be as transparent as possible and share all the ups and downs about traveling because it’s not always easy. Sometimes things go wrong, flights get cancelled, people is rude, you get lost, or you car gets stuck in the middle of the desert. I think it’s important to show that not everything is like what you see on social media.
