We caught up with the brilliant and insightful ANGELA GLEZMAN a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
ANGELA, appreciate you joining us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
What our parents did right was teaching us the timeless values that now show up in Bar B Boot Company. integrity, honesty, and hard work without cutting corners. They taught us that a promise matters and that your effort shows in the craftsmanship of anything you touch. Bar B Boot is built on those same principles—every pair, every detail, every decision is shaped by the values they instilled in us.”
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
We’re Angela and Stacie, the co-founders of Bar B Boot Co., a brand born out of our shared love for Western style and our belief that women deserve boots that are as bold, beautiful, and hardworking as they are. We each bring something different—and essential—to the table. Angela is the creative visionary behind our designs, aesthetic direction, and the heart-driven storytelling of the brand. I’m the operations side—the strategist, the systems builder, and the one who ensures our ideas become tangible, high-quality products that reach our customers with excellence.
Our journey into this industry wasn’t traditional. We didn’t come from the fashion world; we both came from the corporate world and we both never truly fit into that traditional corporate mold, We wanted to create a cowboy boot that stood out. So we created it.
At Bar B Boot, we offer handcrafted cowboy boots that blend authentic Western heritage with modern femininity. Angela leads the creative direction—every silhouette, color palette, and detail passes through her artistic eye. Meanwhile, I oversee manufacturing, logistics, customer experience, and the operational framework that allows the brand to deliver consistently high-quality products at an accessible price point.
What sets us apart is the partnership itself. Angela and I operate like two halves of one vision—one fueled by creativity, the other by execution. Our customers feel that harmony in every part of the brand, from our designs to our fast, reliable service to the genuine relationships we build with our community.
What we’re most proud of is the culture and confidence we’ve created around the brand. The women who wear our boots don’t just love the product—they feel seen, celebrated, and connected. Through our ambassador program and our presence on campuses and in communities, we’ve cultivated a space where girls can shine, grow, and represent a brand that believes in them.

How’d you meet your business partner?
We met in the most perfectly random way—at a neighborhood party stacie didn’t even want to attend. stacie had lived there for a year and finally, begrudgingly, showed up. Angela was standing with a group of the neighbor women, all of them looking over and whispering about who she was and what her story might be. And in true Angela fashion, she finally just said, ‘Forget it—I’ll go talk to her myself.’ That moment turned into a conversation, the conversation turned into a friendship, and eventually that friendship became the foundation of Bar B Boot Co. It’s still one of our favorite origin stories because it captures exactly who we are: curious, bold, and willing to take a chance on something—or someone—that feels like possibility.”
We’d really appreciate if you could talk to us about how you figured out the manufacturing process.
Yes, we do manufacture our boots, and that part of our journey has been one of the most intensive and rewarding. Our boots are handcrafted in León, Mexico—the heart of world-class cowboy boot making. When we first started, neither of us came from a manufacturing background. We knew the level of quality we wanted, but we had to learn the entire process from the ground up.
We spent nearly two years researching, vetting, and visiting manufacturers to find the right partner—someone who understood our vision for elevated, feminine Western boots at an accessible price point. Design after design, sample after sample, we refined every detail until the boots matched the standard we were unwilling to compromise on.
One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned is that manufacturing is equal parts patience, persistence, and partnership. You cannot rush craftsmanship, and you cannot cut corners if you want longevity. Finding a manufacturer who truly aligns with your brand values is everything. Today, we’re incredibly proud of the relationship we’ve built in León and the level of artistry that goes into every pair of Bar B Boots.
