Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Angela Gallego. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Angela thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Persistence and being committed to what you are trying to achieve is the foundation of success. Commitment means making sacrifices, even when it’s hard, and putting your goals first. To succeed, it’s imperative to create a reputable name for your business by providing positive and memorable experiences for your customers. Forming strong relationships with other peers in your industry, having their support and also reciprocating their support is vital to your success.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
We are Sittin’ Pretty Photo booth and we own a photo booth camper. Our camper is a vintage, 68′ Beeline that we fully renovated to create an aesthetic that we love, while still keeping a vintage feel. We found our camper in Canton, GA. Just 40 miles Northwest of where we live. While bringing our camper to life, I knew I wanted it to be fun, sassy and keep it Southern. So I named her Dolly, after Dolly Parton who is the epitome of Southern, sassy & fun!
I got into this business for a couple of reasons. I think owning my own business is in my bloodline and I didn’t really think about it until recently, but it started with my immigrant grandparents owning different grocery stores when coming to America. My mom then owned a restaurant for a brief amount of time when I was a kid, So maybe I was born to be a business owner? I hope that doesn’t sound arrogant, but I just mean having the drive, determination and guts to do what it takes, to create a business you love. Mentioning a business I love, I really do love my business and this industry and that is the other reason how and why I got into this. I’ve always loved event and party planning. I love a party, no matter what kind of party. I love the creativity event planning allows you, from forming a theme, to the decor and all of the small details in between. That is why I style Dolly with vintage pieces, such as the suitcases and trunk you see in pictures.
The first time I saw a photo booth camper was Summer of 2021. I was at a festival and there was this camper, I thought it was the cutest thing and the style of it was boho. When I walked up to it and saw that it was also a photo both, well I just thought that was the best thing ever and I had to do it too. One week later we found Dolly and brought her home. The rest is history.
We’ve just made 1 year and it’s been an amazing ride! We’ve surpassed our expectations and have achieved much more than we could have dreamed of. We are so grateful to everyone that has played a part in our success. We recently added a second photo booth. It’s an open air photo booth that is ideal for indoor spaces. We are just so excited at the possibilities and what the future holds for Sittin’ Pretty Photo Booth.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I can say with certainty, the relationships I’ve formed with venue owners and event planners has helped us tremendously with being a successful and reputable photo booth business.

How did you build your audience on social media?
To build your social media presence, the answer is the same as what it takes to be a successful business. You have to be committed and persistent. Persistently post stories, pictures and reels. You have to be committed to posting on your social media account. Ideally on a daily basis. Research trends and what is popular on Instagram and Tik Tok. You may not be an expert at reels, and that’s ok, but even using a song that is trending can help with views and audience engagement.
Being vulnerable and authentic in your posts can be a gamechanger when it comes to building your social media audience. Your future, potential clients are not only interested in your business, they are also interested in you. If you want to be successful on your social media platforms, show them why they should invest in you.
