We recently connected with Angela Brefo and have shared our conversation below.
Angela, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
I know weddings are stressful enough to plan, so my goal is to help brides look their absolute best before they say “I do”, while creating business for people and myself.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers?
My name is Angela, I’m a mother of 3; 2 handsome boys and a beautiful princess. I am the CEO and creative director of EverythingRobe. After my wedding in 2018, I realized bridal robes had become a trend. I just loved how everyone gets dolled up in their robes, so I decided to start a business in that area. We design and make beautiful bridal robes for brides and their bridesmaids. I also make robes for maternity photoshoots as well as birthday photoshoots. This business has created employment for people back in Africa since I use their services; from fabric to actually sewing some of the robes.
Getting feedback from clients after I deliver on exactly what they want, has got to be my proudest moments. I always tell myself there is even bigger and better that I will get. EverythingRobe is here to stay! We’re always here at your service!
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
When I started EverythingRobe in 2018, I never thought the business would grow and have people requesting my services.
One thing I always told myself was, I would be consistent! Consistent in delivering to my clients, consistent in my customer service and also consistent in my belief that my business will grow. This consistency has been my drive all these years til now. I’ve had people compare me to other people doing the same thing; sometimes, that can make you doubt yourself, but I believe in process. To get as big as those I’m being compared to, I have to trust my process and stay consistent.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Social media has been the biggest tool for my business. Right now, I have over 5000 followers. I built my following by posting exactly what people want to see. People love beautiful pictures and love to engage, so I make sure I’m consistent in posting my products and featuring clients’ in my robes. My advice would be to stay consistent in posting on your social media platforms and always engage with your followers.
